Best prices I've seen for a while for anyone looking to pick up a G4, and don't mind refurbished/ex-display.

There are from a longstanding UK supplier (not China, like many others on the market at the moment), that I've used for many years.

They have a few different options:

Refurbished Titan grey: £228.98

Refurbished Black leather: £220.94

Ex-display Black leather: £275.76

(The refurbished ones say: "Refurbished Item has had replacement parts to make it operational" which is most likely the known faulty chip/wiring responsible for the bootscreen looping, but not certain...)

Free delivery available too.

90 calendar days warranty only on ex display.

Good price but I suspect that the refurbished part will only be cosmetic like rear cover and new battery if needed. The bootloop problem would need the pcb replacing.

Picked one up from Vodafone brand new for £225 and unlocked on eBay for £1.99. This should be cheaper considering how old it is now.

Evouk - true, can;t find exact details of the refurb on ebuyer.

Zatos - brilliant, I hadn't seen that! Can you please share the links/details?

You'd be very lucky to pick up one from Vodafone as that was my first point of call. They have very limited stock and they go as soon as they are up on the website. Last time I asked about the G4 they only had 9 in the whole of the UK so absolutely pointless tbh.

Fantastic phone with an excellent camera, but I wouldn't risk it again as these have reliability issues. 6 months in and mine started to switch itself off and eventually died. Took LG 6 weeks and numerous phone calls just to pick it up for a repair. The whole motherboard needed replacing. I can’t recommend any LG product as the customer service is dire.

Might be worth looking out for a LG V10 now the V20 is (almost) out. The price should start to fall. . .

Just a bit of advice based on experience:

Ive had my LG G4 for 10 month (11 if you include the last month that LG has it to fix the infamous bootloop error). Ive been lucky enough to have someone contact me every week to tell me its in a backlog of phones to be looked at. Its been 17 working days. My phone developed this error on the 15th of July. Luckily i use Google Photos to backup so i lost only a couple of pics, but i would never buy another LG phone again based on this.

In the end i had no phone for 54 days according to my last google account backup.

Brilliant phone. Never had any problems with LG G4. would recommend to everyone. Bought last year. Fantastic phone and great camera.

I've an LG G2. Love it. Showing its age tho. Frequently freezing, battery runs out quick. Still undecided if I should take the plunge with a Chinese phone.

Pop for a new battery. Should be cheap. Might fix freezing. Definitely will fix battery issue.

would have been a good deal around 18 months ago cold

Like others I've recently suffered the boot loop issue on my LG G4. They've been utterly useless at repairing it. In fact they've not even given me details of where to send it yet 3 weeks after my initial communication with them.

i just got back mine from repair, took 35 days, and the CS (both LG and SBE side) is horrible, i like the phone itself pretty much but the whole process put me away from buying anything else from LG in the future

Was it a company called Regenersis by any chance? They normally repair LG phones. I bust my screen on my Nexus 4 and it took them a month to fix it after they lost it in the warehouse. Their customer service was shocking to say the least.

my g4 decided today it wont switch on, it started to then went off again after the LG logo appeared. I'm guessing this is the known fault? its nearly 11 months old. my photos etc arent backed up, if i send it off for repair will i lose all those?
