Can also purchase the phone including the add on bundle for £399 sim free. MobilePhones Direct have been selling the LG G5 with various combinations of price and bundle for some time now. The audio add on is a better offer than the Cam plus module, which other than extending the battery life looks fairly useless. Both the £25pm offer and the cash £399 sim free deals are decent value as of today but who knows what Black Friday will bring. If the audio add on is of little value to you then you should be looking to pay around £340 or less for the sim free phone on its own. As an example, MobilePhone Direct were selling it at £339 just a few weeks ago.

Seems like a good deal to me. Anyone expect anything better on black Friday?
Is the free B&O kit any good?

Just to counter that, I got mine with the the cam plus, and find it quite useful, attach it for days out with the family, even just having the extra grip making more secure is a bonus. The zoom wheel isn't very good mind.

Nougat is being released on this in "the next few weeks" allegedly.

So at £625 total with contact worth £108, that's £517 for the phone and "free" gifts...

Seems the £399 SIM free is rather better, but even that you have to really want those b&o headphones...

i would avoid this handset and lg phones in general, my g4 died 8 months in due to a boot loop problem that eas well documented and apparently fixed but obviously wasnt.

now my g5 is suffering from severe screen burn in and ive only had it for 6 months and lg arent interested, so yeah just a heads up.

For balance, have had LG2, LG3, LG4, LG5 and none have boot looped. It doesn't help if people unlock boot loaders etc. It a recognised issue, but % of handsets is low. G5 is a nice phone, but seems a little more fragile than the G4. If you are buying it for the camera primarily, then the G4 has the same unit, but does not have the wide angle extra cam, which is a gimmick at best, as the picture it delivers is curved at the edges.

That's not good to hear. My G3 is the most reliable phone I've owned.

No issues whatsoever on my g4 and have seen incredibly few reports of them on xda. Samsung on the other hand...

I wouldn't bother because 3 are terrible network bad signal everywhere I go. Rang to give notice to cancel my contract with 39 days to go and because I was a day early they where going to charge me 8 pounds fee this was after being on hold for 15 mins joke. Good deal terrible network

I have a G3 and had a boot loop problem, but this was caused by a faulty battery (again, well publicised issue with this model). Whilst this was an easy fix I was disappointed to have to replace the battery after only 18 months. I've also suffered with repeated lag issues and frequently end up having to do a factory reset to sort it. It took an age to get Android M on this handset as well (only had it about 3 months). I've heard many rumours of big discounts likely on g4/5 handsets on black Friday, but I would have to think long and hard about whether I 'd go for another LG.

Just to join in to the debate on LG quality but we have sold a large number of these and quality control does seem to be poor. The phones are nicely made but we have seen a higher percentage of issues with LG devices as well as really difficult customer service if you do need to make a claim and astronomical depreciation (compared to say, Samsung or Apple, even Sony). I saw a number of G4 handsets with power issues (causing rebooting or power loss). The G5 will come down to a reasonable price soon as they all do, didn't take long for the G4 to drop and it became a value champion like the OnePlus.

I had a boot loop on my G4 but was replaced and all is fine. Teh screen burn is also happened but Lg replaced it without question.

I will say I loved my Galaxy Note 2 for it's size but the G4 is the most usable phone I have had, it just doesn't slow down no matter how many apps I have open.
If the G5 is anything like the G4 it's a cracker. I will be getting the G6 when my contract is up :)

I've had my g4 repaired twice for boot loop issue. However, it hasn't completely put my off buying lg again because the phone is decent for the price i paid.

I just went to Honor 8 instead. don't regret it, fantastic phone

"bad signal everywhere" really! Where did you get that from? When you actually bother to post a deal you will quickly find out how dispiriting it is to have your deal knocked without concrete, i.e non anecdotal, facts.

The title says £25 up front, but I see it on the site as £124.99 up front. Am I missing a trick?

I was on Three for 4 years and the signal was fantastic wherever I went, the free EU data usage thing is also great as many holiday's I used that. That said,I only ever use data, I never even turned on the old 2G network crap. I only left because my unlimited data for £37 contract ended and they wanted £60 for unlimited with the iPhone.... forget it, EE had a better deal.

The contract is for two years so that makes it 216.

I bought this offer a month ago with no upfront cost. Exactly the same bundle with the dac and earphones. The phone is great and super fast. Quality is excellent as well. Bootloop doesnt exist on this device but you have two years warranty anyway.
Even if you dont want to use the dac on your phone you can connect it to your computer which enhances greatly the sound.(as long as you play decent files) I put it on my raspberry pi for a standalone audiophile player.

And the 3 network is quite good! I moved from o2 and it works better now.

I've had the G2, G3, G4 and G5, the only one I've ever had a problem with was the G3.

The G5 is the best phone I've ever had, I also had the Samsung S7 for about 3 weeks but hated it so switched back to LG for the G5

Ah true about the two years. Makes it somewhat better.

I've recently joined 3 and had no problems with signal at all. It's a good deal for such a big data allowance and unlimited calls/texts. That would be worth £15 a mth alone.

Then again mine, my brothers, his girlfriend and my friend all had G4s, all of them bootlooped.
