#3
will wait for LG g7 in my case.

not enough change from G5 to warrant getting this.

Terrible company - should be barred from here.

Oh, I was wondering if they would change the price (I submitted a price match form a couple of days ago). Seems like a decent price to me.
#6
Looks like a good price
just worried about sketchy source

Looks like ikt has the UK 4G bands so that si good but I wouldn't buy from them
- you might get stung by import duty/VAT
- like a few mentioned before: warranty + customer service (if it arrives dead on arrival then it'll costs loads to send it back)

Never had a problem with them to be honest, just bought the lg g6 from them and its fine. I even had my lg g4 repaired by them without issue when it boot looped.

Wow... I know it's eglobalcentral.co.uk but still.

I hope that we'll see a similar price crash here in the UK. Massively overpriced at £649.

Same, bought a Mi 5 and it arrived quickly all tracked and packaged fine. Seems like it's either a very vocal minority and silent majority or eglobal really is a lottery. Either way, decent deal.

Besides the poor retailer why would anyone even bother with a LG launch.... V10 worst battery life, G3 dodgy mic, G4 boot loop, G5 GPS issue, G6 who knows. They need to fix their dodgy QC then maybe they can charge flagship prices. What happened since the G2!!

It's not a problem at all when something arrives and it's fine it's when it doesn't that's when the problems start - google how they treat a lot of people who try to claim on their warranties - if your happy with that to save yourself a few quid then good luck to you.

The above dude seems to have had a fine experience, I mean LG themselves are horribly reluctant to repair their crappy hardware.

However yeah, I do think it's a total lottery it seems. I'd recommend eglobal for import-only attainable phones but for things like the G6, just buy from a UK retailer so when it bootloops you can get easy warranty.

Yeah and other devices don't have well documented problems do they? E.g. Note 7 exploding, S7 Edge pink line on screen, S7 line generally having home buttons that don't work on left side - even the Note 1 had a major problem with EMMC failure.

If you search for problems you'll find them everywhere.

Interesting to get an idea of what the prices will be like for this in a few months. I think LG have planned for some significant price drops on this phone in Europe. The SD821 and lack of DAC should see this at £350 from a UK source by August. Then I'll be interested.

LG g2,g3,g4,g5 all had problems with bootloop issues, lg g4 being the worst with thousands of people left out of warranty and a useless phone, g6 will be no different unless LG came out and said users have 3 years warranty with us is this problem occurs i would not buy another lg again

You claimed 20% failure, that's not underpinning. Can I borrow your crystal ball?

As a consumer we can only guess, its quite clear many people have been done over out of warranty on the g2, g3, g4, g5, and not one single case is justified its a know problem they have had and lg just ignore it, why anyone would defend it beats me, you might get lucky and had all phones and had no issues but no way I would risk going down that route again...

I love lg phones, there so thin and only phones with removable battery left, so its a shame

My g4 had that issue 12 days out of warranty, LG or EE weren't interested which was a real shame because it was a brilliant phone!

Except with LG its pretty much all their phones.

Every Samsung or iPhone or HTC has a problem if you Google it. For the record I've owned loads of LG devices and never had a single one break. The only faulty phone I've had to send in for repair were made by HTC, Sony, Samsung and Apple.

I've had an LG G2 and an LG G5, the G2 worked perfectly for 3 years however I needed a second phone when my and when I turned it back on after about 6 months it wouldn't stay on for longer than about 10 minutes at a time.
My G5 had recurring issues with GPS/Screen burn in (Previous screen still appearing when you click onto another page). I sent 1 phone back and had a brand new replacement which worked perfectly for a few months and then started getting the patchy GPS issue. Never got to the point where it needed to go back because it was stolen!
To be honest if it wasn't for that absolutely AMAZING wide angle lens I wouldn't have bothered with a replacement.
Currently got a Moto G5 until the price for the G6 comes down in price. I need that LG Wide angle camera back in my life so it's worth it for me!

I agree, i myself think that wide angle lense is incredible and underated, not used my self but seen online and would be very useful, I myself have root my stuff and unfortunatly that means i wont be covered after warranty, and no way i would trust my lg to last more then 2 years
#27
wide lens is great but resolution was poor compared to the main camera. this was rectified in the g6.
I take opportune shots of landscapes in my travels and have really benefited from the wide lens.
#28
My G2 and LG tablet are both still going strong, My dad's G4 no problems either. More than happy to trust LG again.

It's as silly as saying that all future Samsung's are going to burst into flames.

If anyone is interested, there are now LG G6 H870DS 64gb models on ebay for £429. Shipped from Ireland, so no import duty. These are HK imports so don't count on a warranty.

But these are dual sim, 64gb models, compared to the single sim 32gb we got here. I think these also have the quad DAC.

Yeah, I noticed them a few days ago, & with the quad-DAC. Now at £415 just a few hours later - I wonder how low they'll go before the price levels off for a while: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122463211414?

I just noticed EGC have reduced their prices further to just £403.99 for the white version (little extra for the other colours), so with the £10 off code (if it's still vaild) & cashback, it's down to under £390!

How low can it go!?

Pretty tempting... But at the moment I'm. Drawn more towards a V20 for that removable battery. Tired of batteries degrading and not being able to do anything about it. :/

Yeah, I was also considering the V20 for a while, but for this reduced price, the smaller (easier to handle with one hand) G6 & its premium build quality is much more tempting to me.

Just be aware, if you choose the V20 It might be difficult / impossible to source brand new, genuine batteries for it - unless you know otherwise, or willing to risk it with secondhand / generic batteries.
