This really was £349.99, only a week or so ago on the Play website. This is a fantastic saving of £150, on a very good phone.
The LG GD900 will run the LG's S-Class UI with a lot of touch-related goodies. The handset features multi-touch input as well as gesture support. This means that features like the two-finger zoom we saw on the Arena is available for the GD900. The LG GD900 Crystal boasts the new S-Class user interface, as found on the Arena. In addition, the Crystal comes with a multimedia player that seems to be able to cope with just about anything, a full web browser, messaging capabilities and a document viewer.
Both the keypad and the large 3" display are touch-sensitive, and they can be used in a wide variety of ways. For example, the keypad can be used as a mouse, a touchwheel, it can be used for gesture control, handwriting recognition or multi-touch control.. and of course it also works as a standard keypad.
The display is not just touch-sensitive, but also high-resolution with 800 x 480 pixels - substantially better than the current model of iPhone.
The LG GD900 also has handwriting recognition, which isn't too frequent on phones with capacitive screens.
The GD900 offers 'mouse mode' for a more convenient browsing experience. This means that you will be able to control a virtual mouse with your touch keypad, much like you would do on a laptop.
