Good deal but i went for the sammy it's cheaper and still there :)

Still, LG drives are good too!

good find Thanks.

I've always gone for LG drives in the last few years because of their ability to write to DRD-RAM, which allows for on-the-fly deletes/writes without having to re-write the entire disc gain!

Not as big an issue now storage levels are well beyond the usefulness of DVD.

Most of the Samsungs do DVD-RAM now.

However, the one I bought, a 223C, is cra p.

I doubt you would notice any differences, I can't see any myself. Hence I would go for the ebuyer one.

DVD-RAM is a nice format with some unique features, but this is not one of them. DVD+RW will also support hard disk like use with on-the-fly rewriting of changed files. I still like LG because they just work.
