The next cheapest I can see this is £24.99 @ Argos! You may be able to get it for less using one of the attached vouchers ...

Mount the light-weight LG HFB-500 Solar Powered Bluetooth Car Kit to your windscreen and you're good to go... and to talk. Holding enough charge for 16 hours of talk time, the kit obtains 1 hour of talk time for every 2 hours of exposure. Plastic clasps and suction cups keep the HFB-500 angled at the sun so you can careen around corners without losing light. When fully charged, the HFB-500 provides a massive 960 minutes of talk time. However, this can be improved - when it is in constant sunlight, the device will provide unlimited talk time.

* Noise / echo Cancellation
* Easy & multi-pairing
* Bluetooth: v2.0
* Talk time: up to 8hrs
* Standby time: up to 1100hrs
* Speaker: peak power 1.5w
* Dimensions: 94.3 x 50.3 x 14.4mm
* Weight: 72g

Guys, Play.com doesnt mention it, but it seems that you can plug it into your cigarette lighter to charge as an alternative - say if you had to take it out with you.and when u came back needed to charge it to get you started.

It means that these are the only phones that they have tested the product with, i.e. not every phone made in the world that has bluetooth built in....

This device is asking to be nicked. Looks too expensive and some scum will break your window or somethign to get it and flog it off for whatever. Not voted cold though as the deal is hot ... product not a good idea in the UK

I wouldn't care so much if the unit got nicked, it's the damaged caused to your vehicle that'll make you cry :(

Oh we're so pessimistic :) ... it's not a bad price, prefer the other one that's listed on here somewhere.

funny the amount of stolen crap ppl in pubs think they can flog you

oh going to buy one for my gf who lives in malaysia. the solar power will be very useful there
#26
Shame they didnt design this a bit better and wrap it around the sun visor, put the sun visor down when your driving (will obviously charge if its bright enough to effect your vision!) and pur it up when you park somewhere making it not so obvious that anythings there - since all cars have some kind of window tint to make the interior darker. Altenatively you could stick this behind a sun strip if you have one (again hiding it), directly placed against the glass will allow light to pass through.

...good point...two elastic bands and the job would be done. It's not a massive unit and would fit on the visor nicely:thumbsup:

Oh..look how Amazon advertise it...http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001ARD360/interactiveda3086-21

mine arrived today and i'm very impressed, very small and have a quality feel to them, they fit its plastic holder that sticks to windscreen by 2 strong suckers and the unit can be taken out and put somewhere out of sight very easily. the holder just looks like a pass holder so shouldn't attract any unwanted attention. very easy to use and pair up and sound quality loud and clear.

if you didn't want to have it stuck to the windscreen you can take the suckers off the older and attach that to the sun visor and again you can remove it and hide it easily.

someone said you can't reach volume buttons when its in the holder, maybe the holder design has changed but these are easily accessible. it comes with a car charger and a short cable so you can charge any lg phone from it (it will use its battery power reserve)

great piece of kit i never have to charge!!!
