Bought this system last week from Ask Direct and really plesed with it. Sound is great, plenty of power and bass, plus I can hook my iPod up to it. I ordered it on Tuesday and it arrived the next day and delivery was free! Definitely recommend

Why is this cold? Is there anything wrong with this system?

1ST - NO BLU-RAY?

2ND - compare to this

3RD - take note of this comment when Tescos were offfering it.

Seriously I'd buy seperates if you are in the £300 price range - these all in one boxes usually represent average quality for top prices paid. The advantage with a seperate AV system is that you can gradually upgrade and if your DVD packs up you aren't having to replace everything else all at one go. The package from Tesco doesn't even include a Blu-Ray player which you can pick up for £60 nowadays and at these prices you shouldn't choose a system that cannot play them (IMHO).

Look at Richer sound for idea of prices (no need to necessarily buy there although they are usuaully reasonably cheap) I'd look at buying a Blu Ray player (Samsung = £60) Pioneer speaker package (= £119) and the cheapest AV amp they have is a Sony (= £139.95)

Total price is £320 - £20 more and you've got a blu ray player which will deliver far superior picture and sound quality and you've got a system you can upgrade in stages in the future - if you have more money spend more on the AV receiver (AMP) if you can afford it.

Tesco price for this system is daft frankly - who would pay £500 for this in first place is beyond me.

LIKELY TO GET COLDER STILL!! :)

I thought this was a deals site?

can this system be purchased cheaper, is it a good deal?

not everyone is an audiophile, not everyone wants blu-ray some might see an ipod dock as a huge benefit and the single box system might be all that fits under their TV

I don't see this LG system cheaper anywhere else and although I'd buy the samsung blu-ray HT-C5500D from dixons, some people might want the tall speakers so this is a good deal..
