The mobile outlet charge a fee for the intital credit check. This is £1.99. Remember to cancel the insurance if you don't want it as it's quite expensive. I didn't have the easiest time claiming back cash back with mobile outlet last year but if you always write a cover letter, a copy of the t&c with every claim and chase up the cheque I'm confident you'll get what's due. I said I wouldn't go with them again but this is a fantastic deal!

I got everything that I should have got. They give you 21 days to send in a claim which is plenty, especially if you have the claim ready to send when the correct bill comes through and you can just pop it into the post.

They changed the T&Cs on the site recently to bring them in-line with competitors. Thankfully I still had a hard copy of them which I included with my claims and simply wrote a letter stating that included were bills to to claim my cashback for months for , at
and included was a copy of the terms and conditions which I agreed to and I expected my cashback within 28 days of receipt of this letter and in the event of non-payment I would follow through to the small claims court.

Received cashback within 28 days (although they like to leave it last minute) and had no trouble.

They always pay out where you've done it 100% correct, but they like to watch you be a performing monkey for them a little bit. It's all worth it for the deals you get from them though!

The problems I had were simply down to them being disorganised, unhelpful and assuming that I'd done something wrong, when in fact I was following the t&c I received to the letter. As you say they changed their t&c and seemed to forget that some customers would be claiming under the old ones. I had to remind them with a copy of those original t&c that I was in fact right and then chase them up when a cheque/bank transfer didn't arrive within 30 or so days.

P.S. From now on I take photocopies of all documentation and correspondence, screen shots of the website and double check as soon as the handset arrives that I have everything prepared for the claim.

It's a bit OT but I've consider submitting cash back claims to Mobile Shop via their premium rate fax number because it's still cheaper than special delivery. However, I don't have a fax, merely a scanner, so do you know of any online services I can use to reliably send the claim?
