Also twice the price, not too good for those that only have £30 to spend on a phone.
And it was posted 2 weeks ago, do you really think there will be any left?

Good deal for unlocked, wouldn't want to be locked, especially to vodafone
#5
good deal if you are on a low budget and a basic phone that will to the job well

It's a clearance phone so...

'Reconditioned/Clearance Stock.
By using reconditioned/clearance stock, we are able to offer you even further savings across our whole range. These products are either ex-demonstration, trial or mail-order returned. They are not flawed products although they may carry very minor cosmetic marks. For your peace of mind, each and every product has been quality inspected by our engineers and reconditioned if necessary. Each product also comes with a full, one year manufacturer’s warranty.
Please note that reconditioned products are usually repackaged once tested and do not come in the original branded box. Reconditioned handsets will be packaged with a charger and battery. Other accessories and memory cards are not guaranteed.'

Is this only available on Vodafone?

I know it apparently comes unlocked, but it does mean I have to pay £10 for a Vodafone top-up when I'm on O2.

God deal - hot. Especially (for me) if I can get it working on giffgaff or O2.

Yeah you do, if you've been with O2 for I think 6 months then you can buy a new O2 phone and not top up, however the phone is £49 on e2save and you will have to buy the top up I would think any way. So yeah you're stuck with the £10 vodafone credit as you agreed to buy it at the lower price which is on Vodafone.

I asked the monkeys in C.P.W if I could buy a certain payg phone on the cheapest network and then use my O2 sim and they said well sir since you've told us that we won't sell you the phone! I enquired as to why and the sales person said we get too many people coming back with their phones blocked because they didn't use the network they bought the phone on and it ends up getting blocked. I don't know if it's specific to the way they sell their phones, or they are lying.

With regard to the Nokia 5230, this phone has a lot of features for the money, but it's underpowered and lags horribly. I recently tried a non smartphone the new Samsung C3300 and it was as if the phone was on speed in comparison to my Nokia. It really annoys me how horribly slow the 5230 is, Ovi maps annoy me too, kills the phone battery in about 30 mins, so you need a car charger, I thought I could replace my old TomTom One, but it doesn't. The speed camera coverage is hopeless, no S.P.E.C.S cameras in the database at all for example, and updating the maps using Ovi suite gives you the old maps, so you have to use a seperate map updater app to make sure you get the latest maps. All in all the 5230 annoys the crap out of me and I wish I didn't have it.

Signed up to top cash back and it is still £39.99 right up to the bit where i press buy on the E2save site???
If i press buy does it at the last minute take £7.50 off?

I had this phone and hated it. The touchscreen was awful and writing texts was difficult. I also found that if someone texted you whilst you were replying to a different it would send the text to both people or to the wrong person. Maybe mine was faulty but I hated it.

How does the £10 top up come? As a voucher or does it go on the sim card you buy with it?

If it's on the sim...is it easily transferable to another number?

Cashback sites don't work like that unfortunately.

After you've made the purchase, Topcashback will recognise that you've bought it and the process will begin of E2Save paying Topcashback £7.50, which goes into your account with Topcashback. When it's paid you can just withdraw it into your bank. How fast that process is depends on the retailer (there will be statistics on the E2Save page on Topcashback which will give you a rough idea).

Samsung S5620 Monte. Dunno if that's cheap enough at £99? Has wifi, gps and 3G. Nokia 5530 is wifi and a Symbian smartphone, lacks GPS and 3G though.
