Looks like a great price, pretty sure these are the same as at my uni and they're pretty sweet!
#3
none in cardiff :(
#4
DVI as-well eh, thats pretty damn good

I bought one of these a couple of months ago for £140. The spec easily beats everything else for less then £150. It is crystal clear and much better than my other Acer AL1916W.

Only criticism is that the control buttons are hard to use. They are on the back of the bottom right hand corner. It is hard to know what you are pressing.

Overall though - Fantastic voted hot.

That contrast ratio is awesome - these should be seriously nice. With DVI and VESA mounting..!

Scan occasionally have these for around £115 (with free delivery for AVForums members) - but this is the cheapest I've seen them.

Very nice.
#7
if i connect freeview box to this can i watch tv?
#8
The controls would annoy me and I have my monitor at an angle, so even harder to reach. Otherwise HOT!

probably not unless your freeview box has an RGB out, converters do exist but if you have a computer you would be better off getting a cheap USB freeview stick for your PC which you can buy for under £20

None available across the whole of southern Sussex (East and West), 4 PC World stores checked.

Typical Dixons Store Group BS again - Advertise a low price and then have none available so the shopper thinks, "Oh well, I'll just buy the next highest priced one seeing as how I'm here now"

I'm not criticizing the thread creator in any way, just the DSG.

Looks a good deal. Been looking for a widescreen with DVI for ages
Here's hoping some stock around
#12
None in north east (newcastle area) or s.yorks (sheffield area)

Seems to be the norm for pc world deals.

Nice of you can get it .

None in Crawley or it's area, none in Hampshire and none in the western part of Kent.

Cheers DSG for another BS offer!

Doesn't look like you're the only one here

No stock in central midlands either, Birmingham/Wolverhampton/Dudley/Walsall and so on!

Top offer DSG (also not poking at the OP, great deal if you ever find one!)

got one reserved for Leeds City Centre; can't find any reviews or anything.

Can anyone comment on what this is like for photo editing?

Cheers!!

I was considering one of these 22" acer monitors from ebuyer (quick find: 123955) it has dvi. Would be interested to get your thoughts on it? £163

Tech stuff goes down in price quickly, eh? I got a decent 19" Hyundai from Scan a couple of months back for £93 delivered on one of their today only specials. makes me think they'll be in the wider market at sub£90 before xmas. have you noticed the drop in 22" models recently? bound to have an effect lower down the scale.

well I managed to reserve two :) and my mate got one in Bedfordshire , and my brother got 2 also , we live north London ..

With these deals you have to act fast and as soon as I reserved mine I posted the offer , however im sure the Dixon Group did enjoy the Traffic ..
#28
There is stock in Reading , Telford , Ashford (kent)
#29
Just to clarify - these aren't a particular 'online' deal or anything. This is the normal 'in-store' price for these, currently.

Loads in stock (literally piles of boxes) in Leeds City Centre.

I've got one of these (LG) and it's brilliant. I paid £130 for it a few months ago from Scan. This monitor also includes a DVI cable which can cost £20 alone! Highly recommended!!

I am absolutely fuming http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/6.gif, after setting off from my house 8:30am sharp I headed down to Bournemouth a 144 mile trip from where I live, I got a call at 10am telling me that the monitor was out of stock. I immediately turned back as this was the whole point of my trip and returned empty handed and £15 down on petrol and 2 hours of my day wasted. Some little scum bag of a student staff member must have nabbed it!! I’m so angry!!! :viking:

My email of complaint to PC World...hope you like it

"I am absolutely fuming, I reserved an LG L194WT TFT monitor (124904) yesterday at 5:35pm with confirmation number ****** and waited till the morning. After setting off from my house 8:30am sharp I headed down to Bournemouth a 144 mile trip from where I live, I got a call at 10am telling me that the monitor was out of stock. I immediately turned back as this was the whole point of my trip and returned empty handed and £20 down on petrol and 3 hours of my day wasted. It is actually still showing as in stock at the Bournemouth branch as I type at 11:48am. Please can you give a very good answer as to how a supposedly real time reservation system has failed me and cheated me out of money, I find this highly unacceptable behavior. Thank you kindly. "
#37
Waste of time. This DSG 'no stock in the entire country' BS is getting to me now.
It's the last time I ever check out a PC World deal on here :-(
Thanks to the OP though, as it would be a good deal if there was any stock at all.
#38
Mate Im so sorry for your woes , looks like ppl are right the Dixon group suck big time , im also fumming as I know have two monitors that dont have DVI ..
#39
My Email to PC World gits

I saw you had a good offer on the web for a LG L194WT flat monitor , so I used the reserve and collect to purchase one ..
When I got home I found out that I had been given the wrong Monitor , Now I have a LF L194WS which does not have a DVI output .

So I went back to the store to get it changed, hey Presto although the computer said there was two in stock they were also the (WS not the WT) .

I was offered a refund by a very helpful person in store , But A refund is of no use to me because I need to use the monitor , but I what what I bought and paid for the WT ..

You have the WT in another store but I don’t see why I should go chasing around the country when I haven’t don e anything wrong , I believe you should have one brought to my local store , and I can then exchanged them , this option was not available or offered to me when I suggested it in store .

So I know feel very unsatisfied with my experience with PC World for the following reasons

1: PC WORLD selling a item they do not have

2: Selling a item, that was wrongly described and never existed

3: Failing to satisfy when you are at fault

Now I feel that you have indeed sold me goods by deception as the item was not what was advertised and is inferior due to no DVI option (that the model I paid for had).

I’m not willing to be fobbed off with lame excuses and I intend to follow this through until I feel satisfied..

I would suggest that you arrange for the correct item to be available to me for exchange with the wrong item you have tried to sell me, and also make sure it is the right item this time please ..

If you cannot do this for me , which I feel is the right thing to be done I shall seek further advise and take it to the next level .

As a Leading retailer you have a duty to your buying customers , yes mistakes do happen now and then , but you cannot expect me or other customers to sit back and be abused in this way ..

I hope to hear from some one very very soon

I will never consider a purchase from PC world again , they done me years ago also ..
