Ive got a 23" one of these that is used for my ps3 and second monitor. Very good monitor imo.

Just paid £180 delivered from ebuyer for same set, did come with a 3 year warranty thou.

Good budget tv, plenty of connectivity. I have my PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PC, and 5.1 connected via optical. But the tvs own speakers sound distorts and the image while quite sharp, is quite dull. It isnt very bright and vivid like other HD tvs you see in shops. And the blacks are too dark, you have to mess about with the settings abit to get an image that isnt too dark, the preset image modes dont seem to be very good. Maybe its just mine though.

The 3 year warranty is standard on LG monitors regardless of where you buy them from.

is the speaker quality thin and weak like many other small LCD's?

I've got an older 22" LG tv/monitor and it's not bad, lots of sockets but lousy speaker quality due to the speakers fitted that are smaller than your average speaker found in a £5 clock radio, not bad tv otherwise.

Yes, the Tv is pretty good but sound is quite bad as with most lcd tv's this size, got it in the kitchen

Just received mine today, how do remove the bit that the base fixes onto ?? looks as if it possibly does not even come off but as I am mounting the tv on the wall would obviously look much better with it removed.
#22
I seem to recall reading one of the Amazon or Ebuyer reviews mention that it is not detachable.

Here we go :

Wall mounting is a complete pain. This is because the vertical column of the stand is fixed to the telly (doh, what fool designed that??). You can get around this by CAREFULLY removing the red bevel that runs around the bottom of the screen. This is attached by 6 screws - easy enough, but unfortunately there are also 8 internal clips that need to be levered out. I used a flat bladed `butter knife', edging my way around the perimeter. Most came away fairly easily with a few `clicks', but the ones at the far ends gave me cause for concern as I had to be a bit more forceful. Once removed, it is a simpe matter to remove the column by unscrewing 4 more screws. Unfortunately, when everything is put back in place, there is a sizeable hole in the underside of the casing - but I can't see it.
