great deal

Would this be any good for photo editing or should i look for an IPS monitor. Wondering as the viewing angle says wide?
#4
Whilst I can't answer the question, there is an IPS dell deal at the moment http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/dell-ultrasharp-u2311h-ips-panel-181-49-delivered/905435

This does seem a nice monitor and am thinking whether I really need an IPS monitor (or even a monitor as I work from a laptop) or whether a monitor like this one would do

http://****.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270724647344

Same price on ebuyer @ ebay

But you can get 272 ebay plus points = £2.72 if you were choosen at random for it .....

Hope it may help someone. Its a shame i am after a tv that i use as a monitor.THis is on small size for my room.Wish i still had a desk.
#7
Perfectly adequate for pc/bedroom fact is you can pay this just for a monitor buts its a tv also- easy set up, good sound and picture, built in freeview, lots of connectivity options.

I have the monitor of this, and am using it right now.

It is incredible, buy with confidence and you won't regret it.
#9
its a decent screen - but after some testing between this and the Samsung P2370HD , Sammy wins all the way.

however, for this price it cant be faulted.
#10
crazy price, heated

Hmm tempted, I nearly had the Asus unit from eBuyer that came up a few days ago.

Amazon are price matching, though without the voucher discount on top.

LG's website says one HDMI, but the picture shows two (and svideo/composite)
http://www.lg.com/uk/it-products/monitors/LG-tv-monitor-M227WDP.jsp

eBuyer shows a picture with one HDMI and no composite or SVideo, the top of their spec says one HDMI then lower down it says two HDMI and SVideo and composite.

???

lol i meant it said wide viewing angle not widescreen lol. sorry.

I just mean the whole point of IPS is to improve contrast when viewing it in different vertical angles. Does anybody know how the contrast on this is at vertical angles?

LG sets are usually fantastic, can't image this will be any different. Got 2 already so very tempted. If my boiler hadn't gone done would have ordered one already.

Ordered many thanks op. Been after a new TV for the bedroom.
#25
Only 11 left so ordered one.
#26
ordered 3 yesterday for the kids rooms, an hour or 2 later it says dispatched :D
Heat added

Ordered Friday with free delivery option, arrived today. Using it now as my monitor in 1080P.

To get 1:1 pixel map (so you screen displays correctly) :

From Menu, go to Option > Input Label > HDMI > set as “PC”

BTW for those thinking of buying multiple monitors be aware LCDs use the same IR channel on their sets so if you've got two LCD sets in the same room you'll have problems. I contacted LG and they said it's a known issue & we're looking into it. Sure they are. A great set nonetheless.

does anyone know if this could play mkv via the usb? thanks
