This got hot last time at around £900 from memory. This seems like a cracking deal for this piece of kit! Reduced from £899.00.

5 reviews @ an average of 4 stars but of the 5 only two are for this particular projector and they are both 5 star.

Place it just 11 cm's from the wall for a 60" image and 38cm's away for a 100" screen!

Amazing really.

Looks good, are these things noisy?

Techmoan owns one and has done a review, YouTube video at the bottom of the page. I think it looks pretty good and a genuine replacement for a normal TV given its practicality.

I was going to wait for the JVC DLA-Z1, but tempted to get this instead.

I've done a little bit of research and from what I've read they ain't too bad. The review I read said from about 2 meters away you couldn't really hear it.

Truemotion? I assume that makes the picture more fluid or something?

not sure a tv replacement is possible, the thing looked great in a dark room but not sure I would want to have to sit in pitch black all the time just to watch tv.

am thinking would be great to take with me to hotel rooms to watch stuff instead of the stupid locked down tv's they give you!

Yes, there are 2 versions. from what I read from avforums:there is another US version with better processing unit and Smart TV feature with LG magic remote. and truemotion processing - I'm not sure what that is.
#11
I too was interested in this, but after reading that it is missing the smart TV feature decided to wait for a bit. Hopefully newer version or some competitor launches a similar with smart features..

This is awesome price for this, However note for a perfect picture from this it is essential you have a perfectly flat level wall to throw it onto. Very taught screens are also good but Non taught screens are very susceptible to a kind of wavyness effect -non straight edges.

I know what you are insinuating there - but not sure I would want to watch THAT on 100" screen!! talk about giving you a complex ;)

There's a French review here .. http://www.projection-homecinema.fr/2015/10/17/test-lg-pf1000u/ ... (not sure the link will work), they really don't rate the picture quality, very low contrast ratio (288:1 which is appalling for on/off contrast).

this is very similar to the Ricoh throw projector, which I think is better!
