Latest best price I can find for this TV. The retailer appears to be an appointed LG retailer as they are offering the 5 year LG warranty. If punters want the comfort of buying from a larger retailer like JL they will price match as retailer has tv in stock. Expect price to fall further post Januay 1st due to new line being announced at CES in US in first week of January. Happy days!
Postscript : called RS who will price beat at price of £1679, with £20 price beat offer. This will still include a 6 year warranty and can be delivered free. Price getting better and better!!
Further Postscript...now £1679 so RS should beat this by further £20 to reduce price to £1659.

i used to love LG tv's .only tv i would buy.... until my 26 month old 42" screen started getting white/grey flashing 1" dots on the screen followed by lots of smaller 1cm bots at the bottom of the screen.
on a pure white background it was greyish and bright white blobs all over the screen.
called LG only to pretty much **** *ff.
decided to replace it with a high end £1200 LG with from what im told was a 4k singing and dancing screen.
yep you guessed it, less than 12 months later large white blobs !
Have now replaced it with a Samsung ;)

Sorry to hear about your problems lollypoplee. Saving grace with the Oled's is that you have a 5 year warranty (or 6 if you go with RS). Oled tv range has been around for a good two years now and so far (fingers crossed) no panel "failures" to date.

Didn't you contact the retailers to make an out of warranty claim ?

I got 60% of the cost of my Samsung back from Currys after 3 years. Was dark shadows on blue or green screens.
It's still being used today (4 years later) by someone not as fussy as me. :)

Have called RS who will price beat and under their scheme will give a further £20 off so reducing to £1679.

Hey Darzen....hope you don't think I'm an employee of PRC as well as M Dawes ;-) ;-)....as I said in M D posting just trying to help other punters who are trying to find a best deal...which is this site's raison d'être.

Also hoping for a price drop in Jan!

bma see my postscript.... RS will beat price at £1679 with 6 year warranty. Good price but confident it will continue to drop in New Year. Confident I will be buying in next month.

apparently.... due to RS having a 6 year warranty, they will not price match, against a standard 5 year term.

Not so th3brad!! I called RS this morning and quoted PRC deal. They looked at PRC deal on line and invited me to [purchase over phone at a price of £1679 (£20 reduction due to their beat any price offer). I advised I would call in as didn't trust giving card details over phone.

RS regularly price match against other 5 year warranty retailers, e.g. John Lewis. The guarantee term doesn't need to be exactly the same - simply similar.

This price will drop once CES is underway.
