I got offered this at 1500 through a family member's employer...still kicking myself for not snapping it up although it was directed from manufacturer rather than RS so no 6 year warranty....however fair start and tear etc... awesome piece of kit and still a great price here (for what it is).

I'm not voting either way the only thing I would say was that I so wish LG had some competition for OLED. Just me and several million others.

They do, sort of, but others still use LG panels, Panasonic, Loewe to name two. Philips (TP Vision) will be producing OLED soon and also B&O in 2017 but all again with LG panels.

Panasonic have plans to go OLED I've seen - although they're not exactly doing their brand the greatest service constantly passing off Vestels as Panasonic. But I really want one from Sony. But they're not showing the interest presumably due to the very low yields. Meh. The wait goes on.

Same here.

Paid nigh on £500 more a few months ago so no idea why this isn't hotter. Still, couldn't be happier with it, even at full price.

Despite Samsung championing super AMOLED technology in their mobile and tablet devices, they have made it clear that they will not pursue OLED. Instead they will be pushing their quantum dot technology. It seems that this range of OLED will reign supreme with regards to SDR but for HDR-10, Samsung's flagship is reportedly superior. Still, with SDR being the majority of what most people will watch, this will be one of the best TVs you can buy. It can still handle HDR10 and DV and has fantastic reviews.

Yeah but curved, yuk, & no HDR. Quite a lot of issues with this set as well, check online reviews.

HDR is a new concept and I can tell you I have this TV which I paid £3500 a year ago and I love it. Issues, there are a couple but none that i have experienced as a "deal breaker". Watch 4k Netflix and I gurantee will leave you breathless.

Also worth noting Topcashback have 7% cashback on tvs over £1000 for 2 more days. That's 140 odd back on this, making it 2160ish which is a damn good deal for this at the moment.

Been watching this tv for months now, excited to take the plunge finally.

I have this TV. It is outstanding.

People won't understand how good OLED is until you see it for yourself.

Awaiting the Xbox Scorpio before getting a 65" 4K OLED myself.

Voted hot on this :)

Have seen TPS been mentioned on a fair few deals over time so I guess all OK. Just got the Sony KD65XD8599 and has light bleed in bottom corner which is putting me off. Only £1499 though and no DSE or banding. Wondering if to go OLED? Presume no issues with light bleed due to the different technology? How is screen for reflections as there will be a window directly behind it. In darkness no issues with Sony but in day quite reflective. It's to go in a dedicated cinema room. Only sit 8ft away and (never thought id say this) the 65" is almost too big as I am sitting too close to it perhaps? Could go 55" OLED instead?

Full manufacturers warranty only one year though and with screen burn on OLED screens I wouldn't risk it thanks.

This has been this price for ages now. Not sure this is a new deal?
