LG OLED55C6V Smart 3D 4k Ultra HD HDR 55" Curved OLED TV

4k Ultra HD picture is up to 4 times the resolution of HD
HDR displays brighter colours and greater contrast
Access 4k content on Netflix & Amazon Prime
Tuner: Freeview HD & Freesat HD
Connectivity: HDMI 2.0 x 3

I have been watching this TV for a while and it is now the best price it has ever been.
Its £1999 at Currys, minus £100 (Enter code 100TV at checkout. Hurry ends Sunday!)
Then Quidco have 10% cashback at Currys until Sunday night.

Final price is £1709.10 for a TV that was £3000 not to long ago.

For the saving of over £1000, I'm going to bite the bullet and go for the curved TV.

There's also the B6 flat panel at this price. I've had in my overnight and soo tempted. I have a 6 year old 40" Bravia and technically there's nothing wrong with it! Trying to rationalise the upgrade and manage 'Wife'

Don't think you will get the 10% quidco if you use the £100 off voucher

Thank you. Was seriously tempted to make the purchase on the basis of the cashback and £100 voucher. Now need to consider as there's a risk although I think it will likely still pay out.

You make a good point Baz.

I have had quidco payout with offers like this before, but it is a risk.

I think it is a risk I'm going to take, after a couple more hours of research on the TV.

Remember the Quidco cash back is the EXCLUDING VAT price, not inc so may be less than you first thought.

Ditto. Panasonic Plasma from the best and last of the plasmas. Not quite as black as it used to be, but still a damn fine set....In my case though Wife is saying get it and I'm thinking "2 grand!"

I bought this on Thursday night when quidco was 5% (on tv's over 50"), just phoned them to get that £100 off added to my order as it's not getting delivered until tomorrow, gutted I missed the bigger 10%, I did managed to secure an initial 8% discount on curry's vouchers through work though so only paid £1840 in the first place

Quidco tracked at 1%, the email from them said it would be updated once curry's confirm my purchase, will be watching that like a hawk....

Don't forget Martin Dawes still have their 10% off until tomorrow, so the B6 is £1799

from my own research of these TVs (B6, C6), it seems that the input lag is better on the C6 and is closer or on par with the premium models (E6, G6) when compared with the B6, which on average has worse input lag compared to the others. 3D isn't included with the B6 either so it certainly makes the C6 look the more appealing out the two.

That's a good price whithout risking it with quidco, 5 year warranty and obviously the sky Q. So now i have saved £1799 because it does not have 3D. Thank goodness i found a negative.

I don't think your cashback will pay out if you used vouchers. I've tried it before and claims always get rejected.... its in the T&C's on the quidco site.
#15
so its 10% cashback guaranteed? what happens if you don't get it? (I hate cashback, waiting and playing case games with customer service)
#16
Argos currently have a 10% voucher off TV's anyhow so that's probably a safer bet + trying Quidco and seeing if it comes off...

Ah well, looks like I may just have to settle with paying £1740 for it, i'm still fairly pleased with that, would have preferred buying from John Lewis but they don't do the curved set and that's what I was after.

Just had a mail from Curry's confirming they will honour the TV100 code and send me a voucher card loaded with £100 credit in the next 3-5 working days, can't ask for more than that, TV comes tomorrow, happy days ...

I have bought the TV and quidco has tracked. I'll be keeping an eye out for it.

it's 1899 from John Lewis and comes with a years free sky q. does that apply with this deal?

B6 does not have 3D. C6 does. C6 has faster chip, meaning better input lag, and better overall responsiveness.

thanks for info. that makes this the better deal :)

Weirdly, this shows the B6 has having higher input lag on SDR content, but lower on HDR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mugyf3OLo8

That seems to be an anomaly, on 2/3 of the formats the C6 and E6 perform the same and the B6 lags behind. On the HDR format, it seems to deviate, the B6 seems to perform better. I'd be surprised if this isn't addressed by a firmware update and the C6 and E6 ending up performing better across all of those formats.

At least you don't have to mess around with motion etc. settings depending on what you watch with a plasma :)

When you say upgrade, I take it your talking about the TV? ;)
