Great price for an Awesome phone. Been waiting for this since it was announced at the beginning of the year. Just peeved with LG for taking sooooo long to release it. 6 months is toooo long from announcement to release in the smartphone business. This is the one thing I admire Apple for, once they announce something they release it within a couple of weeks (I know demand always outstrips availability but that also helps keep their value). Allot of the early bench marks of this show it even outperforming the S2 but I can't understand why it's shipping with Froyo instead of 2.3 gingerbread! Maybe when they do provide 2.3 and drop future support for the handset, LG can at least say they gave us 1 upgrade or maybe that's just me being cynical from my past experience with the likes of Samsung and LG!
This will be THE phone to beat for the iPhone 5!

Looks a bit gimmicky, trying to make the most of the strange obsession the world now seems to have with 3D.

HOT!
Just pre-ordered :)

It is a good phone but "This Is My Next..." gave this a bad review, the 3D gave the reviewer sore eyes after he thoroughly tested it within a week.

LG X2 was the first dual-core and it was a fail.

This is the first 3D and it will be a fail.

Wait for Samsung to bring out a 3D phone ;)

It was suppose to be released months and months ago Expansys showed release way before the S2 then it went to a few weeks then to be confirmed and to send this out with 2.2 is unforgivable. To say that it will be better than the S2 i just don't believe a word of it, everyone of LG's phones sinks quicker than a brick in price and supports also none exsistent. Its already been said that its gimmicky and i think that's all it will be and after a couple of minutes the novelty will have worn off also the fact that its nearly £100 cheaper than the S2 tells me that its not going to be any match at all also the 3DS springs to mind so stands a good chance that headaches will be a problem.

This phones release was that long ago my biggest question would be what's caused the months of delays. PC Pro have just awarded the S2 there premium smartphone award and said that in there opinion that its the first phone to be better that the iphone4 and that it also has the best camera that they have ever saw on a phone and that the benchmarks test for android blew the optimusX2 out the water beating its score by nearly a 1000 points and doing the same to every other android device apart from overclocked tablets and S2's and im pretty sure thats the exact same spec as the 3D phone apart from the 3D may have a little more ram than the X2.

If you want a 3D phone wait for the HTC EVO 3D its due really soon and at least that will have decent build quality andrioid 2.3 and will be upgraded and if i could of waited i would of had the EVO

great price for a new dual core phone with android!
#22
I presume then that the phone runs Android??
Why I want my phone to shoot 3D Video is a bit of a mystry?
The quality will not be very good, phone cameras never really are that good and HD & 3D will just highlite how bad.
So i think I won't bother until I have seen a demo.
#23
android 2.2 according to: -

http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_optimus_3d_p920-3759.php

1ghz dual core? galaxy s2 has 1.2ghz :|
#24
Looks like its about £50 cheaper then anywhere else, so good find on the price front, but is it a good phone to begin with, that is probably the most important question
#25
Used one of these....the 3D is actually very cool and works well...apparently the one I used was a test model so if it was good already and it has now been improved...well worth the money and 2.3 will be out soon I'm sure!

I have to disagree, I quite like the video camera on the iPhone 4. :D
#28
good find op! + heat
#29
3D is good if used in the right situations, hollywood has just made it look cheap and tacky by putting it in everything they can. I almost forgot about this phone but I am pretty interested in this piece of kit, maybe just maybe.

It's a good price but not overly hot.

I guess this is another post where folk vote because they like the product rather than whether the deal needs to be brought to the memberships attention.

You nerds, what are you like.........:)

Who cares? Its a load of crap. IMO of course, I suppose some nerd out there will totally disagree but I cant beleive people will buy this. LG are such a poor brand, I even owned a Plasma TV made by LG after a year the screen went. Pathetic.

LG X2 was the first dual-core and it was a fail.

I wouldn't say it was a fail, the hardware is very good, but the software it came with was rushed and it shows. Which is why mine runs CM7 :D
#36
shame its so heavy. 168 grams :(

Good phone. Better than the Iphone 4 but not as good as the Galaxy S2.(_;)
#38
Interesting piece of kit but not convinced by 3D in general, let alone on a phone. Playing Let's Golf 2 in 3D does sound fun though.

Take away the 3D and the Samsung S2 definitely has this beat.

Have all these people saying the galaxy is better even used this phone?

Just asking.

Had an LG Viewty years ago. I can vaguely remember what an over-hyped POS it was, how much I hated it and how impossible it seemed to get any official support for it. There were forums full of people complaining about its shortcomings and they never ever got any response from LG. You couldn't even download the basic software that came on a CD with the phone. I know this model is Android-powered, but... Never, ever again.
