This has to get hot soon. Amazing value. The "HTC One X" has better build quality, but the LG Optimus 4X HD has a (hot-swappable) microSD slot and removable battery.

So after cashback £312 for a quad-core handset is excellent. I'd go for this if I hadn't the Samsung Galaxy S II.
However, after owning the "Galaxy S II", I feel that 4.3" is large enough for me. As a person with small hands, I could barely use it with one hand. Now I really appreciate why people say the "Galaxy Note" is huge.
For people with large hands or the dare I say, the rest of the population, I'd say 4.7" is getting more common.

In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S III, this is a no-brainer. The "S III" cheapest currently is around £550.

[Update]
Ah I just noticed. This contract doesn't include data... That's a big ouch for me.
You should include the monthly plan in the title, and definitely at least put it in the description.

Still anyway, the £15.50 for 24 months (50 mins, 250 texts, 750 MB data), which including cashback is an excellent deal. :)

Seems like a great deal but i'm affraid that any phone made by LG is COLD!!!!

Hardware will be top notch but it will be weighed down with bloatware from LG and will be very, VERY, V E R Y slow to get Android updates....

Seriously, avoid this like the plague, you have been warned.

(Oh and don't expect to be able to work around the above with custom roms, even they don't work properly because LG are so sh*te)

Oh just to add, T-Mobile DO deduct the VAT and 4% from the total cost if you cancel within the minimum term.... of so they told me when I rang up for a cancellation cost.

full contract price or handset?

handset can be had for under £450
#14
Full contract total cost. It is cheaper to buy contract than PAYG anyway, unless the handset is used for nothing other than Wi-Fi or people who can magically conjure a SIM with free calls, texts and data.
#15
Handtec is £390 for this phone sim free but this is still £50 cheaper. Better to compare with cheapest major retailer.

I've voted hot.

This or the Galaxy Nexus?

This definitely , galaxy nexus is way too old... the specs on this are amazing , probably the best even though its an LG.

Will it get Jellybean though?

not a 18 month contract

T-Mobile Text Standard Internet £15.50

Couldn't agree more. Being an O2X owner, I've been very disappointed with LG. Both their service and the phone's ROM have been atrocious, and I won't be buying another LG phone for the foreseeable future. The specs may look great, but it matters little if the phone runs like a dog. Custom ROMs may help, but in the case of the O2X it never fixed some of the phones core issues. Avoid.

Expansys have the sim free version for £399.99

Or am I looking at the wrong thing?

Will it get Jellybean though?

If you believe LG then yes...

The reality, probably still yes but in two years after Key Lime Pie, Lemon Merangue and Mushroom Risotto (or whatever it may be called) have all come out. Oh and it'll be full of bugs, massively slowed down by the LG bloatware and kill your battery life due to poor optimisation.

DON'T BUY LG!

I'd avoid LG they are constantly poor with software updates. This phone will be outdated very soon with the new Optimus G due soon.

I have to share with the other Optimus 2X owners their disappointment with LG's software development and support for their phones. We were very fortunate that there has been a great community support and custom ROMs for that phone but if the uptake of this model is less due to poor customer experience then you may not even get that great community support anymore.
#25
Can anyone tell me how, how TCB and Quidco, works in case if the given link just take you main website for eg 3 or T-mobile, and they are offering different cash back on the same deals, how we will know which one is actually work, a little confusing for me, i never used it before.

Yep meant to say that as well.... Us O2X owners were saved somewhat by the developer community, but even they got so p*ssed off with the lack of LG support and so I think will also be put off LG for life.

This means without that support, you really will be buying a dead duck.

It's not that much of a problem if the modding community make some decent roms for it. However it is a problem for people who can't or don't like modding. You know with Samsung flagship phones you're going to get a decent amount of custom ROMS released.

With my experience with the Optimus 2x and LG and ICS, (was supposed to be 2nd quarter of this year - April-ish still nothing and they've even clammed up with no news) I wouldn't bet on it. Bad record.on that, unlike Sony
#29
Took a gamble on this, moving from a very old HTC desire cheers OP
#30
Shame there doesnt seem to be much after market ROM support for this even if the specs are great.
#31
Normally i would agree with everyone's dismay at LG'S track record.

BUT, I took a chance with this phone last week as i feel LG have learned their lesson.

It's hardly skinned at all compared to what HTC do to android.

There are videos circulating already of this running Jelly Bean altho it hasn't been released by the Dev community yet. Seems it is gonna get a lot of attention from the xda devs as they seemed to have fallen for the hardware.
#32
If they are then this automatically becomes a good deal

EDIT: just noticed the awesome white version is not available for this price :(

Just been looking there a better deal on their sister site. Good thing is you get DATA, which I think you need for a smartphone. You can hook it up to the wifi but I cba searching for networks when outside the house. Plus I love watching tv on my old HTC. I think I'm going to go for this one- at least i can take the battery out.

It's £15.75 after redemption - 100mins, unlimited text and 750mb data. That will do for me.

Here's the link people. I'll order mine in the morning. 8)

Bloody hell that is good - too late I already bought the 15.50 750mb, 50mins and 250 from the other deal text drat! lol never mind I don't make many calls or texts now. But you should post this deal!!! THE PHONE IS AMAZING BTW!!!!
#35
XDA have now found a way to root it so the roms must be on their way soon. Could be worth a punt given the specs.

Interesting but also confusing for people who think this is for the 4X HD.
#38
Can you phone up t-mobile and cancel the contract (which is pretty useless anyway) and save a bit more on top as there is no redemption, etc with this deal?
#39
yea hope it's possible, I might grab one then :|

Just seen the Cnet video review of this phone...

Crap battery life and awful camera... unlucky anyone who didn't heed my previous advice :(
