"Just look at her. Isn’t she beautiful? She has the best package. She is beautiful, black, chic and smart. And all that beautifulness listens to the name Optimus Chic E720. This new smart phone from LG is suitable for the 2G and 3G networks and is mainly operated via a 320 x 480 pixels, 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen. The display supports multi-touch input and has an accelerometer sensor so it automatically rotates the screen when you tilt the phone. Thanks to a special sensor she shuts off the screen automatically when you hold the Optimus Chic to your ear, which is more energy efficient. She also has an ambient light sensor, enabling her to adjust the brightness of the screen. Even so clever. At anytime and anywhere your connected to the rest of the world by Facebook and Twitter integration. This beauty uses GPRS Class 12, EDGE Class 12, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA 2Mbps or WiFi 802.11 b / g to connect to the world wide web. So no matter what hole you end up, there is always a protocol available to share your experiences with the outside world. And to help you to get away from that hole, she also a GPS unit in her slender body! If you're there you might as well take some nice pictures with the 5 megapixels camera and add a geotag to it. The E720 is equipped with a media player that flawlessly plays DivX/MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV MP3/WAV/WMA eAAC +. She also has standard apps like Google Maps, Gmail and Search, Youtube, Google Talk and an FM Stereo radio. The internal memory of 150MB is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card. Naturally, an HTML browser is part of the deal. Life is good, with this beautiful LG E720 Chic Optimus on your side!"

Memory is small "150 MB internal memory" you need 512k spec on Mobot page is wrong it says 4k!

Nice price good phone, great media with DNLA and DivX out of the box!

T-mobile s/w but unlocked

CPU is 600MHz... My Galaxy Spica is 800MHz and I wouldn't go less than that. Still good price for an entry level phone.

There is a 2gb micro sd card included.

600mhz CPU is fine IMO, as I have a HTC Legend and there is no lag whatsoever. Some games do lag though, but I dont play games that often on it.

Eh... far better camera, official upgrade to Android 2.3, a two year warranty, no logo on the phone...

Nice phone but screen resolution is a major letdown, for that reason alone i'd stick with San Francisco.

"Just look at her. Isn’t she beautiful?"

"TFT capacitive touchscreen, 320 x 480 pixels/3.2inch". She's **** ugly at that resolution!

While I agree about the comments that you can't really justify paying extra for this rather than the OSF I feel I have to vote 'Hot' as it is the cheapest (by quite a distance) that I can find the handset. Nice find for the price OP and hope you get some heat.

Unless you want a well-made phone that works well out of the box ;)
#11
OSF is far better option, better resolution, more 3rd party rom supports. Don't better about the camera, it doesn't make a huge difference....
#12
A good one but won't put my hands on this! Although SIM-Free / Unlocked, it has a T-Mobile software that effectively means connecting to the internet only through T-Mobile! I have had this problem on other sets and it is very expensive to get their software removed in case you go in for any other service provider

So bored of the OSF rants on here every single thread I look at. What is it that people think is so great about the OSF? since losing the Amoled screen it is decidely average, in fact perfomance is pretty poor, build quality is worse. Granted there is quite a community for this but out of the box it is average. I am sure many people would willing take a slightly smaller screen for a phone that allows you to swipe screens more than once every two minutes ;)

I would say my phone which is faster than this one, is slow enough as it is, and freezes enough. I wouldn't consider anything less than 1GHz processor for future phones. Mind you people with the Orange San Francisco seem to be happy with 600MHz, so it's up to you.

The San Franciso 3.5" screen is high resolution.
At 4" or 4.2" it would be far better suited to that display.

If you want a decent brand and a better camera the LG certainly looks a half decent option.
