Just called up and got this! They told me the X8, X10 mini pro and the samsung Apollo are included in this offer as well. Got 2 deals for the kids. In regards to the 24 month contract they told me the phones do come with a 24 month warranty, for £10.21 a month it's a brilliant deal. I called 08009562208 and spoke to a lovely welsh lady!!

Just got this deal, i had it on 18 months but cost me :S £12.50 not bad for a sat nav and internet... haha when i asked they said it has 3gb data on there and the phone can be used as a wirless router.

Top deal. Just basically got a free phone for my ongoing sim-only £10.21 deal.
#8
Can anybody clarify that you would get an extra 500mb to make it 1gb of data, with the Internet booster?

Cheers.

24 months is too long, good if it was 18 month

great deal, especially for the x10 mini pro in my opinion

Read some excellent reviews but all say camera is pants, and within the time of the 24 month contract there's bound to be a better phone around at this price so why take such a long contract ? I want a decent camera and wi-fi so will wait.
#12
Blimey. Phone ordered at 4pm yesterday, delivered today at 7.30am.
#13
So, is the phone the satnav?
#14
Great deal.

matt3454 - Yes, the phone is the SatNav. It comes with Google Navigation.

You can turn any Android phone into a sat nav by installing Google Maps Navigation (which is completely free) or any other sat nav software.

Am I missing something here?

You cant if its 2.1 Android as it doesn't support Goggle nav and shouldn't be visible from the market place and it wont install even if you get the .apk file it will refuse and to turn a Android phone into a satnav it must have GPRS otherwise you have no chance with any satnav software.

Should be 2.2

http://www.lg.com/uk/mobile-phones/all-lg-phones/LG-android-mobile-phone-P500.jsp

"Powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo) "

Also,

"Through GPS Navigation system, you only say your destination and Google Maps Navigation will guide you. Also, you can choose your preferred views such as Traffic view, satellite view, Street view to get easier guidance"

From the features page.

I went for the Apollo as its 89.95 (including mandatory top up of £10.00), unlocked from the carphone warehouse.
The LG on this thread is 199.00 unlocked from the carphone warehouse and its also available from tesco, locked to their network, for about 80.00 odd quid.

You pays your money.......

I m sure I am running android 2.1 (or something like that) on my Apollo and I am getting full, voice guided, google navigation..with traffic as well!

I am about to get 2.2 which will let me save apps to the sd card rather than using the inbuilt phone memory.
Ive no idea what else 2.2 will let me do

I have this phone, and it works very well, sat-nav is as good as Tom Tom though not quite up to my Garmin. You can run it with other programs too. the only downside like any smart phone is the Battery life.
it will stream music via bluetooth well with my parriot hands free. Camera does an ok job, better than some of the reports i had read beforehand.
The deal i got was £15 a month, this gives me Free internet (unlimited, but around three gig before i get moaned at) 900 min, 500 texts and free landline calls with a booster.

Surely this deal was posted before the "T-mobile Android" one.. by about 6 days?
Not that it matters - they have both been useful threads for me.

Mine's 2.1 and it runs Google Navigation perfectly. Also, it's GPS, not GPRS, that is needed for sat nav.

Voted hot but went for the Apollo deal with topcashback. Posted on other deal thread.

GPRS is the basic poopy data transfer, available in practically every phone since the days of the 3210. Nowadays, its only good for triangulating whereabouts to a few 100 metres according to what masts you're using. GPS is the one you're talking about ;) **edit:HereKittyKitty got there before me, sorry kitty**

samsung vs lg
wander into a phone store and ask them if you can have a look, I personally dispise touchwiz on Samsungs but maybe they've changed over the past couple of years. Probably down to personal oppinion though but some people have a very strong aversion to some of the manufacturers attempts (me)

So theres a free car kit is the navigation editions??
