Description

The LG Pop is one of their smartest new phones; it boasts a full 3" touch secreen, but is one of the smallest and lightest phones to offer this feature. The large screen makes the Pop easy to use for everybody, and also allows you to open up easy shortcuts to all of your favourite and most used functions. It can also be used as an MP3 player, with the storage being able to be expanded up to 16GB with a Micro SD card allowing you to hold plenty of music, along with pictures and videos that you can take using the amazing 3 megapixel camera. Overall, the LG Pop offers lots of great features, all tightly packed into a small and sleek mobile phone.

This phone has solar charging capabilities, which is pretty advanced!!

You can buy a solar battery for it here, at Play £22.99

Unable to edit my posts - if you want to power your phone with solar power, check that the model at Asda has this option - you'd need a separate battery for use this way, so it would up the price a bit, to £72.99, which still seems a good buy for a phone that has such flexibility. Just don't want someone to buy the phone and assume that you will get full solar ability out of the box, and don't want to mislead anyone.

How could it be a better deal when thats not even for the same phone?

Great phone but need a stylus pen that you can buy for about £2 from ebay/amazon.

RE carphone deal.

Tried countless times to get one at £49.99 inc ££10 topup not a chance.

Ordered one credit card declined according to them, checked with card company no transaction tried. Ordered again, e-mail saying sorry out of stock kept an eye on them for a few days back in stock, took screen shots e-mailed them suddenly got a phone call. Offered an instore pickup at no extra charge.

Think I'd go with Asda.

Great phone this.
bought from the orange web site last week using my phone fund so i ended up getting it for £48 with a tenner top up so well chuffed.
But yeah loving the phone, get the latest opera mini on it an surf the net no trouble an i'm really suprised at how good the touchscreen is after reading some negative things about it.

I've owned this phone - unfortunately, t-mobile gave it to me for free to try to keep me as a customer along with reducing my monthly payment to £5 (I already had an MDA Vario III). This phone really is crap. There are better cheap touch screen phones out there than this. My one went off to the great phone recycling place in the sky called Envirophone, for which I received the princely sum of £30. I now have a Galaxy S (free, by the way, from Dialaphone on a £20pm 18 month contract).

Your comments about the phone are interesting, but would you care to post some examples of these better alternatives that are currently available for £50 please?

I couldn't edit my posts either (I'm using Firefox), but when I went into IE8 I could. Come on HUKD, get your act together!

Here you go:

LG Cookie - £50

The LG Cookie is a much better phone than the LG Pop (I've experience of both). I'm sure you can probably find the cookie for less than £50, too.
