**This was previously 10 months free but we've managed to push it to 11 months free. You heard it here first on HUKD!!**

The Carphone Warehouse have the LG S5200 Slider Phone on o2 with 11 months free line rental on a 12 month contract (after cashback). For £30 (after cashback) you get 12 months line rental, the free LG S5200 slider phone, 250 any time, any network minutes per month and 100 text messages per month too. Purchase via QuidCo for £37 in extra cashback.

The LG S5200 mobile phone brings an entirely new look to LG's stable of handsets. The slide-open design adds sophistication to the practicality we've come to expect from this manufacturer. The high-resolution colour screen slides up to reveal a 1.3 megapixel camera on the back, complete with 4x digital zoom for close-up photos. You might expect the camera to take videos - and you'd be right - but you probably wouldn't expect the massive 100 minute recording time. Yes, the LG S5200 can record video clips that last for over an hour and a half! As well as being an impressive camera phone, this handset is also an MP3 player. Fortunately there's 64MB of memory for storage, plus Bluetooth and USB connectivity for transferring files. You can use Bluetooth for handsfree conversations if you treat yourself to a compatible headset - or, if you prefer, you can use the phone's own built-in loudspeaker. Overall, the sliding design makes the LG S5200 a surprisingly compact handset. It's versatile, it's well-featured and it looks good. If you're thinking about camera phones, you should include this one on your list.

This offer works by cashback which you claim from The Carphone Warehouse at specified intervals. Our users have found the Carphone Warehouse to be the most reliable retailer with regards to cashback. Purchase via QuidCo.com for £37 in extra cashback, thus bringing your total term to a PROFIT of £7!! Cancel insurance if you don't need it as it can be quite expensive.

Remember, you heard about this here on HUKD first. Thanks go to Admin for helping to secure this deal, which brings this in line with the other deals we've had from CPW lately, if not even better because the phone here is much better than the LG P7200 we had listed and more stylish too.

O2 contract cancellation requires a request in writing. 30 days notice from the date of them receiving and processing your letter. Ideally, get a PAC instead of giving a written notice which will cancel the contract automatically in 30 days.

Yes, you do have to write to them because it's via o2 Carphone Warehouse. I don't have the address, so you may need to ring them to get it.

Try 0800 0490049 before calling any 0870 numbers, it's freephone. I can't promise it'll get you there, but hopefully they can give you the address you'll need to write to.

Address is :

O2 UK
PO Box 202
Houghton Regis
LU5 5WA
#10
Edi, that address is for o2.

The mobiles bought on o2 via Carphone Warehouse are managed by CPW's own branch of o2 so the address needed is different.
#11
Yeap... that address is for O2 direct customers :)

BTW, is anyone having problems with placing order @ CPW ? After 'submit order', I'm getting a blank page and nothing happens after that :-(
#13
A quick question for you if you don't mind.

Am interested in this deal, but have also seen a similar deal on Mobile Shop which is the Motorola V3, free for 16 months on an 18 month O2 contract with 400 any network mins and 100 texts per month. This equates to £35 for the whole 18 mth term following cashback and quidco. Which deal would you go for?

Many thanks

A
#14
You're better going with a 12 month contract. You get a new phone in 12 months that way. Also, the V3's camera and storage is awful.

Finally, you'll have to do less work to get your CPW cashback. Less claims, more of a window of oppertunity to send the claims in too.
#15
Thanks Duck Magic, that's really helpful.

Just wish there were more minutes on the CPW deal!
#16
just letting people know tht the phone hasnt got a very good battery life, if your not bothered about charging the phone nearly every day, i would go 4 it.

Thanks edi for the link. If the PAC code is used just when the contract is about to end but the porting happens after the minimum contract period, do we get billed for an additional month line rental? If yes, is the line rental refunded from the point when the porting was done? Thanks
#18
Does anyone know if these phones are SIM locked or not?

Last thing I heard O2 did not SIM Lock there phones, is this still the case?
#19
hi guys,

this looks like a great deal, especially as I am looking for a new phone (but I'm on an orange business contract so wouldn't want the sim card) - would it be worth my while to sign up to this contract just to get the phone or would I have to use the phone a certain amount to get 11 months free.

Cheers

PAC is valid only for 30 days after issued. Line rental is usually charged on a daily basis and hence you may get a refund ;-)

In all fairness, I did post the 10 months deal yesterday and it is us who've been in touch with the Carphone Warehouse to try and arrrange 11 months free line rental on this deal and it was me waiting since the email sent yesterday evening because we'd been promised the deal would go live last night some time. I was up until midnight wondering if they'd sort it for us.

But feel free to take all of the credit if you wish.

Good work DM!

Don't suppose you could twist their arm into offering this on the £35/mth price plan ;-)
#24
I'm not quite sure how far we can persuade them to go... I'm guessing that one the £35 price plan it'd be popular with 10 months free...

Hope not! I just signed me and me mum up cancelling the insurance as I ordered...! Can anyone confirm? Will call CW if no joy from you guys...
#28
Thanks duckmagicuk2. Just ordered one. I ordered the Nokia with 400 mins last week, but CPW seems to have messed-up the connection (got the phone a week ago, still not connected). If they sort that out, I might return this one.
#29
i take it that no memory can be added to this?

64mb aint much for my mp3 collection lol
#30
Doesn't look like you can use memory cards with this phone. To be fair, I don't think the phone's main selling point is the MP3 player.
#31
hi, just a quick question, wher is the information about the insurance? received the stuff from CPW but cannot find anyth8ing about the insurance for cancellation.

Thanks
#32
In the past, I used to get insurance info separately, a few days after phone was connected.
BTW, you can cancel the insurance by sending them an e-mail.
#33
You can cancel the insurance when you order. Can anyone confirm if this affects cashback terms with CPW please?
#34
Its been suggested elsewhere that this item wont track in Quidco if the optional free one-months insurance isnt taken up. Anyone know about this?

They've definitely tracked in my Quidco account (I ordered 2).
#36
I opted out of the insurance and mine tracked mine.

I am looking at the Nokia 6230i clearance phone offer on CPW - few quick questions.

Can the phone use memory cards to expand memory?
Clearance phones - trustworthy?
O2 billing - I want to change this to online billing but cannot do this through CPW site - I guess I will have to phone O2 for this - will this invalidate cashback?
PAC code - CPW does not currently do this online - it says call a number - does this mean I cannot use Quidco?

Any other offers out there, that ight be better - I need reliable companies, not 3 and ideally online billing as may change address soon.

Thanks,

J
