buy to sell on if you must but don't buy it for yourself, this phone is complete garbage, it's useless - I sold mine on after a few months, awful to use, lacking in features.

Only plus point is the metal casing that gives it a very stable and solid feel when compared to other plastic sliders.

I agree, this phone is rubbish. I owned this phone over a year ago and it is the worst phone ever.

Reasons not to buy the LG Shine:

- Extremely slow user interface
- Phone crashes alot
- Slow loading times when accessing the memory card (much worst than Samsung phones)
- Metal phone body gets easily scratched
- Quite a heavy phone compared to others
- Earpiece is far too low (have to hold the phone right against ur ear)
- Loudspeaker is super quiet (phone calls are easily missed)
- Video recorder takes extremely low quality videos (worst than the Nokia 6230)
- Camera takes below average photos
- Battery life is rubbish (especially the talk time)

Reasons to buy the LG Shine:

- NONE

Hope this helps!

But have you noticed this happens to samsung phones as well, i had the E900 and the D900 and all those things happened as well, now i have a sony Erickson slide phone and well its not much different at all, i guess most slide phones have these disadvantages.

I don't think its anything to do with slide phones because there are many good slides out there. The Samsung U600 and Nokia N95 are good examples in my opinion.

I tend to think that Sony Ericssons are okay...
