I can't understand why manufacturers havent stopped making these 4:3 and concentrate on widescreen?:?

I actually prefer 4:3 over widescreen on PC's only. TV's widescreen is the better choice.

With 4:3 on PC works esp. well with spreadsheets and games that need vertical peripheral vision rather than more horizontal. Plus I find eyes going across the screen can make eyes tired more quickly than a narrower but longer screen. Ever wondered why books don't come in "16:9/16:10"? Tracking lines of text is easier for a start.

Just tried buying it and after registering etc it came to £140.03 with free delivery??

Seems that once you click thru and buy it goes up in price?
#12

I think Ebuyer have an automated system where price reflects demand. Sell a lot quickly and the price goes up.
#15
Marked as expired, that didnt last long!
#16
I would have bought 1 at that price .. boo :(
#17
They've done this before, as bingsy mentions above.

Dynamic pricing, most sites have it and it can go wrong resulting in misprices.

Price has gone back down again: £98.18 delivered

Arrrrrggghhhh! Paypal have placed a hold on nearly a hundred quid because the last order I placed with ebuyer was cancelled and payment refunded to paypal.

Must... wait... for funds... to clear!

16:9 is okay if you want to watch films or play games, but if youre into digital photography then 4:3 is better.

This monitor was back down to £98 yesterday afternoon. I got my friend to order one, which he did successfully. Then he got an email from eBuyer to say it was priced incorrectly and they had cancelled his order.
#32
My brother also ordered one of these yesterday, during the short time period when they were available at the lower price.

He too has received an email from them stating that it was a misprice. I am a little surprised, as although it was a very good price, it didn't stand out as an error, just one of their periodical good deals.

What has really surprised me though, is that he says the email he got stated that he would be charged a higher price (£5 below the current ebuyer price, I think) unless he contacts them to cancel in the next 48 hours! Is this normal for ebuyer? I have never heard of any company doing that before. Stating that the order will be cancelled if they don't hear from you, yes. But that you will pay more than you agreed if they don't hear from you, surely not. What if he hadn't seen the email?

Anyone else had their order cancelled? Were they told the same?

You could go for this 19" one instead which is in this thread here (still from Ebuyer - £99.99 delivered with 3 years warranty) :

They can't do that legally - ignore it, let them send it, then dispute the transaction and claim goods were unsolicited, or should be at the price originally shown at absolute worst. If they charge more than he authorised it's fraud.

They have taken the money for mine at the lower price ,ordered approx the same time as your friend. I purchased the game bundle deal, don't know if that makes a difference. Also when I ordered I remember there were over 200 in stock and today and yesterday there appears to have been roughly a constant 50 suggesting that loads were ordered at the lower price and were not cancelled.:?

I am quite surprised at ebuyer.

They have confirmed that this was a misprice and that they were wrong to charge a higher price if they don't hear in 48 hours.

It really wasn't that phenomenal a deal to think it was priced wrongly.

I hope no-one is going to get stung and get charged a higher price. Could easily happen if someone doesn't check their emails that often.
