Phones4U have the LG Viewty KU990 for free on a Vodafone contract with either 10 or 11 months free line rental (dependent on tariff selected) on a 12 month contract, saving you upto £440 over the 12 month period.

The 10 months free tariffs have an initial outlay of £30 per month. There are two tariffs - the Anytime Calls 30 and Anytime Text 30 tariffs. Anytime Calls 30 has an initial outlay of £30 per month, and offers 250 anytime, any network minutes and 100 text messages per month. Anytime Text 30 has an initial outlay of £30 per month, and offers 150 anytime, any network minutes and 500 text messages per month. This means that for £60 (after cashback) you get the LG Viewty KU990 (for free) and 12 months line rental (after which you may cancel the contract), which includes the minutes/texts mentioned earlier. This works out at just £5 per month after cashback . If you wish, you can purchase via QuidCo for £50 in extra cashback, bringing the price down to a mere £10 for the year.

The 11 months free tariffs have an initial outlay of £40 per month. There are two tariffs - the Anytime Calls 40 and Anytime Text 40 tariffs. Anytime Calls 40 has an initial outlay of £40 per month, and offers 700 anytime, any network minutes and 250 text messages per month. Anytime Text 40 has an initial outlay of £40 per month, and offers 600 anytime, any network minutes and 500 text messages per month. So, for £40 (after cashback) you get the LG Viewty KU990 (for free) and 12 months line rental (after which you may cancel the contract), which includes the aforementioned minutes/texts. This works out at less than £3.50 per month after cashback . If you wish, you can purchase via QuidCo for £50 in extra cashback, giving you a £10 profit over the course of the year.

The LG KU990 Viewty is one of the most powerful LG mobile phones in production and is the first 5 Mega-Pixel camera phone produced by LG giving it entry to a segment of the market that has previously been dominated by Sony Ericsson and Nokia. Based in theory on the blue print of the LG Prada Phone, LG KU990 Viewty will provide everything that the Prada Phone lacked. The touch screen function has remained, but added has been the new 5 Mega Pixel auto focus camera with a strobe flash to allow more accurate picture taking. The LG KU990 Viewty is set to be part of the new power handsets hitting the market, mobile phones designed with multiple functions to combine music, camera, and communications effectively within compact exteriors. Unfortunately for the digital camera and MP3 markets, these new generation mobile phones are set to be the way forward.

This offer works by cashback which you claim from Phones4U at specified intervals. You have a massively generous 60 days to send the claim. You must have paid each bill in its entirety, so please only use this deal if you can afford to pay the bills on time and remember to keep on top of the cashback. Use recorded delivery when sending the claims, or better still - special delivery with consequential loss cover. Phones4U are a large high street firm, and are fairly reliable when it comes to cashback.

**Remember to decline/cancel the insurance that they try to give you as it can be very expensive!!**

With a whopping £50 cashback when you purchase via QuidCo.com, a great tariff and a cool 60 days to send in your claim, you can actually make a profit on this deal!!

This deal is tipped to end at the end of this month, so you'll need to be pretty snappy. :)

This is a great deal. But how does the cash back work? Do they give it to you in a lump sum or just take it off your contact?

Edit: Just checked Ducky's website and now think I understand.

Similar offer on sister site Mobiles2yourdoor, although Quidco is £5 less @ £45. I got the Viewty on 12 months £30 Vodaphone tariff with 10 months free, so £60 for year less £45 quidco = £15. Voted Hot!

You pay your normal line rental to Vodafone, who don't have anything to do with your cashback.

You then claim cashback from Phones4U.

Their website says:

Phones4U
Send your 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th monthly bills within 60 days of the date stated on the relevant redemption claim form, to us and we will credit you by cheque with 25% of the total amount at each redemption period*

This will save you the stated amount over the 12 month duration of the contract.

*Approximately 25%, the combined total of all Four Cheques will be equal to the stated amount.

Its exactly the phone and package I wanted too - as I was hoping the free data was icluded.

Fingers crossed for it starting again.

Any ideas?

#13

#14
It's changed again! £129.95 for the phone if you choose the Anytime 30 tarriff :x

Anytime text 30 is still free tho :?

Would have gone for this if it was the silver version :-(
#15
Ok, yep, the text tarriff is still free and ive ordered it. A huge word of warning. From month 4 onwards, the insurance sosts £300 per month. My advice is to cancel it immediately.

I suspect they've made a mistake. Probably should be £3.00 a month or something. But people should check on recieving the phonne to be sure.

The checkout page definitely said £300.00 per month per handset from month 4 onwards.

edit: then again here it says £7.99 a month

Yep should work. I recieved my confirmation (pending a credit check) soon after ordering. So far nothing on quidco. I got an n95 on a similar deal last year and quidco was fine. They also overpaid the cashback by £52 :).

I've 4 cashback phones and ive been overpaid £102 on the other (k750i), w810i worked out fine. Both were with e2save. My n95 as mentioned was overpaid by phones4u and now im getting this.

Not a bad phone history considering ive paid next to nothing for all of them (barring the odd call/data charges) and have infact made a profit on 2 of them (k750i and w810i). The n95 worked out as a cost of £200 but I dont mind that considering I got it soon after it came out and I did get a nice contract.
#20
Do you get free internet access with this deal Ducky?
#21
doesnt look good at the mo, havent had email confirmation for this phone, though I did get one for the prior one.....not sure if I should call them or just wait now......
#22
I realise now why I didnt get an email, wrote .co.uk instead of .com. Can someone who is clued up with quidco here tell me if that will affect my quidco payment - do they not verify on email address? Cservices on phones4u said it shouldnt affect that payment, but not sure If they are totally clued as to how it works.....
#23
phones4u quidco payments should track immediately. Hasnt happened for me so far.
#24
Had the usual b/s credit check failed email which phones4u use as an excuse when they cannot deliver on a deal.
#25
if I can offer one piece of advice in my life,it's don't go near this phone ever.

The cameras rubbish, the interface comes from noahs arc and the touch screen is only a hindrance.

I just want the contract. Selling the phone straight away for some profit. £130-150 on ebay.

Don't worry a few months ago they sent me a clearance phone that was faulty. They replaced it with a brand new phone.
#32
Hey Professor yaffle, is this a new phone you got with orginial box, etc?

It looked like it to me, box was sealed with a tamper proof void label, phone had all the protective films intact and all the accessories were sealed in their own individual boxes.
#34
I called today as I still havent received my phone, no tracking on quidco yet either. They are still awaiting for the phones to come in stock. Anyone else here still awaiting there order? I was told that there were a few orders for this still pending....
#35
Received the phone today. Quidco hasn't tracked and so will put in a ticket.

edi: seems i have to wait a few more days before sending in a ticket, even though phones4u track within a day. Usually immediately.
banned#36
got my phone today as well and my quidco has not tracked either. I wonder why?

Well even if its doesn't track £60 (+ delivery for cashback claims) for a new ku990 and contract isn't bad. Obviously £50 is worth chasing down though.
#38
unfortunately mine has been cancelled due to stock. I guess I dont need to worry about quidco now....

Mobiles to your door made a right mess of this - they sent me a Nokia 6300 replacement instead! Then they told me they had accidentally cancelled my contract on the Viewty and couldn't get me the same deal, plus they were discontinuing the Viewty so couldn't get me the phone either! To give their due I did have a nice lady in customer service sort it out for me in the end and they are sending me a Samsung Tocco instead on the same contract and also paying the £300 cashback up front - so well done to Phones4U/Mobilestoyourdoor customer service .
