Is there a difference in picture quality between VGA and DVI on a LCD monitor like this since it lacks a DVI port.
#10
The link goes to a different model, the LG W2234S:?

This is the W2242S:

There is of course a difference between DVI and VGA, as mention here.

"When connected via an analog connection, an LCD is vulnerable to the same distortions that affect CRT monitors. However, when connected via a digital connection, often labeled DVI (for Digital Visual Interface), no digital-to-analog conversion is required, and there should be no loss or corruption of the signal. As a result, when running at its native resolution, an LCD should give you a cleaner and crisper image than you'd see on a CRT. "
......................

"However, the advantage of digital signals for LCDs is of somewhat less importance now than it was a few years ago. Analog signal processing has improved to the point where major differences in image quality can be difficult to detect."

This is very true for me. I'm currently using a Dell 1704FPT connected via DVI and a Dell E173FP connected via D-Sub VGA (using the DVI to D-Sub adapter) on an Nvidia 8800GT. On this particular setup its very, very difficult to tell the difference between the two.

Now this wasnt the case for my Nvidia 6800GT however on my X800 XT PE (with 1x dedicated D-Sub and 1x DVI), again it was difficult to spot the difference.

You can connect the Xbox 360 with the VGA cable that you can purchase for it and you can connect the Wii using a Component to VGA transcoder.

Couldn't get the porting pack for £1.97 to get the free del (out of stock)

But the tesco sim card (http://direct.tesco.com/product/default.aspx?R=204-1933) is only 50p more so still saves ~£2.50 on the del!

Quidco has validated, so very happy for £113 all in

Welcome to HUKD Kenny

Just collected from my local Tesco's,

http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s258/mp4s/LG22.jpg

Fantastic widescreen branded 22" Monitor at a bargain price of only £114.

Quidco has already tracked at £3.35, so hopefully once this is paid, final price comes down to only £110.65. If it doesn't no problem, its only a few quid anyway.

Really happy with my purchase. :w00t:
