Although part of the Dixons group - Pixmania operate from France so this may come with a continental power lead and French instructions and of course if you need to send it back it has to go back to France.....

I'm not saying don't buy from them but bear the above in mind if you do.

How does this compare with Samsung Syncmaster 2333SW?
At £149.99 for 23 inch Samsung is good or LG 22 inch is good?
Any advice is highly appreciated

it says 5ms response time in the specs but you say 2ms. i have no idea what that really means or if i'd ever notice, but thought i'd point it out.

Can I plug my Xbox 360 straight in to the HDMI on this monitor? Will it work OK?
#16
would having a hd monitor improve the quality of live video streams?

I don't think so chrisharry12345. The quality of the live video streams needs to improve before one can see 'improvements' on practically any monitor.

You should be able to as HDMI is a standard.

You missed this bit
Product Purchased outside of the UK
In case of warranty service being required to product purchased outside of the UK and subsequently imported into the UK, please contact our Customer Support Team using the contact details shown above. We will arrange wherever possible to repair within the UK, but in exceptional circumstances. It may be necessary to return the product to the country of sale.

As pixmania are French then the above probably applies.

Don't get me wrong - if a really good deal came along I would buy from pixmania but if there isn't a big difference in price I would go for a UK supplier. The thing that really bugs me about Pixmania is they pretty much hide the fact that they are based in France.

To make certain, one could always call LG to find out about the warranty terms if buying from Pixmania - number / email in this link http://uk.lge.com/support/warranty.jsp

Just had a flick threw their T & C's and warranty claims are dealt with in the UK by Curry's for large white goods and TV's by The Techguys
You have to be registered to view there returns policy and I couldn't be arsenalled to do so. ;-)
