for 47" screen size i would rather prefer Plasma TV. Seen big screen in both LCD and plasma and believe me the picture is more crisp and more real in Plasma TV's.

I dont know why this is hot, I got the 42" inch for 369.00 when it was on ebay deal of the day, yes it might not be wireless but its still good,

I had a look at this TV instore today at richer sounds, to me it looked pretty damn good whilst playing a LG demo video over bluray. I was tempted by a plasma but LCD's look good enough to my untrained eyes.

All depends on the size, the panel, contract ratio, inputs, if it has freeview hd or not and other sockets like usb for divx playback
