I'm still horrified by the events that day and the lies the police and government told (and still do). I watched the whole horrible event unfold in front of my eyes (on TV) and everyone who saw it knows what they saw. Anything that continues to aid this constant struggle for truth and justice gets my hot vote.

What lies? I'm sorry but i was around the area on the day and their were no lies. What i saw was liverpool fans acting like idiots, swearing, urinating in peoples gardens, pushing and shoving... obviously that had nothing to do with it though, it must be a conspiracy.

Hi Kelvin. The Taylor Report tells a different story to one that appeared in that bastion of truth & integrity - The Sun. I suggest you read it.

Educate yourself before insulting the deaths of 96 people. You even created a new id just to post an offensive comment.

Get a life you troll.

Wizzers you have absolutely no credibility in your comments, why not post off your real account rather than registering a new account, just to cause upset and trouble. COWARD!!!

And the video tape from the most important camera at the Leppings Lane end was also "misplaced".

I was there that day Wiggers, I wasn't drunk. I didn't "urinate on the brave cops" or "pickpocket the dead" like The Sun and Kelvin McKenzie said I did. I had gone along to watch my team play in the semi-final of the FA Cup, hardly a crime is it?

My cousin was killed that day, he was only 10-years-old. Along with the other 95 victims he wasn't drunk, he was simply a little boy who had found out that morning his uncle had managed to get him a ticket to the game.

RIP & YNWA.

I'm not saying the police weren't at fault, they obviously made huge mistakes and its something which should never be repeated. What i'm saying is you cant place all the blame on them, it annoys me how all the blame is constantly placed on them when i saw how drunk and loutish a large portion of your fans were with my own eyes, i was disgusted before the disaster even occurred, it obviously played a part in causing it to happen.

The late Lord Justice Taylor concluded that the fans played no part in what happened. The Police on the other hand played a significant part, this is what the official report concluded.

Which team do you follow by the way?

I don't follow football and i don't care about what the report said, i saw the behaviour and to say it played no part is ridiculous.

So you are disputing what a judge concluded after thousands of pages of evidence and hours of testimony because you have a chip on your shoulder about Scousers? I don't believe you were there as you created a new login in to troll this thread.

I'm in, anyone else?

There's probably a lot of HUKDers who are unaware of the horrors of April 15th 1989. This video gives you a glimse of what happend. It doesn't however show that the Liverpool supporters (caged in) were prevented from escaping by the police as the crush began.

Liverpool_Bear - so sorry about your cousin. I had friends and friends parents at the match and fortunatley they all survived. One of my mates dads didn't go to another football match again for about 15 years after this and he'd been a LFC season ticket holder since, well, forever.

wizzers - I guess you live in Sheffield then and saw an exhuberent volume of LFC fans on FA Cup semi final day, but from your comments you were not at the stadium. Apart from 'urinating in someones garden' the behaviour is pretty common prematch ie swearing, pushing, acting like idiots. City play United in the FA Cup semi final next Saturday - I guarantee you that I will be acting like an idiot, I will be swearing and I will be pushing, as well as chanting, shouting and generally being over excited after a beer or five. If I ever stop enjoying the banter, the seige mentality of a group of fans becoming one, and the sheer daftness that goes with following a football team then I guess I'll stop being a football fan and stick to Sky Sports. My point is - the behaviour you describe is common of every football clubs fans and long may it remain so (apart from the garden incident - I do prefer the lavatory - but I is posh). There was (back then) a school of thought that all football fans were scum (hence the cages) whereas the reality is only a small % are idiots intent on causing trouble. Either way - not one person deseerved to die in 89 and it was the 'all football fans are scum' thinking that resulted in these deaths. The police were far too caught up in this type of thinking to see what was really going on and by the time they opened their eyes to it; it was far too late. Hence the continued lies and cover up.
