I fry these with cocktail sausages and served with Frazzles on the side so I can pretend I'm a giant eating a cooked breakfast

Just to remind you where cheap food comes from in this Christmas time of peace, joy and compassion:

These eggs are from the Lidl Deluxe range which won own brand of the year at the Oracle Retailer Awards 2014 so why are you posting an unrelated picture which has nothing to do with the deal?

Also I can't help but notice the alibaba.com which is a website in China. Did you just grab a random image from the internet and pretend thats where Lidl's quail eggs come from?

Mini pickled eggs. Breakfast buffet on the big day, think eggs Benedict or Florentine on slice of french stick or maybe with bacon. Inside ravioli?

With bacon on french bread sounds easy and delicious to me!

Nice. I like these hard boiled with celery salt from waitress but they're £4 a pop so this is great. I'd almost pay someone £3 to shell them and provide the salt though haha.

I'm sure Lidl buys their eggs from blonde German virgins between age 16 and 19, who dance lightly barefoot in the morning dew to collect them from their nests in Germany's greenest ancient woodlands, hence the "Deluxe" stickers.

All that for 99p per dozen.

Are they from Free Range? a.k.a Happy birds? Don't really want to buy ones from Caged Quails...

From the 18th December Lidl are selling a dozen quail eggs for 99p!

Had to look twice, thought you had left the "ty" of the end of the word dozen quality eggs!!!

Nice price for a change in taste and less fatty water runny stuff than Chicken eggs :-)

Now you are just building a straw man. If there's a problem with Lidl quail eggs then I'm sure people would appreciate the heads up but you don't have any info at all you're just making stuff up. The brand as I've already pointed out is a reputable one.

They actually taste similar to chicken eggs really although where the eggs come from and what kind of feed the quails eat will all contribute etc. Quail eggs tend to be used with different kinds of foods than chicken eggs which are huge in comparison. On french bread with bacon for these and they will fit nicely, thats not something you would do with a chicken egg.
