It's 69p for 1kg so this is a mega bargain. Comes in a carry sack with a handle and because they're in a paper sack type thing they should keep for longer.

Im not sure if it is store specific. But most if not all the veg we have ever bought at our local Lidl hasnt lasted very well compared to produce from Tesco's or Asda.

Infact the last pack of potato's we bought from Lidl must have been picked during the great potato famine as they were that old, diseased and rotten!

So on that basis ive voted cold as i think theres better produce elsewhere for roughly the same price give or take a few pennies.

Depends on the brand and how long they last, but cheap price.

Strange that is exactly what happened to the spuds that I bought from Tesco, they were disgusting.

Spuds from Asda / Lidl and Aldi have all been fine.

Maybe they took the Lidl ones back to the wrong store :)

Netto sells 10kg potatoes for £2.50 (2x5kg) and they have a sellby date, so you can take the freshest (none of Lidl's veg have sellby dates).
I bought some yesterday and they are very good for mash (very floury).

I remember my dad buying 25kg sacks of maris piper for £4-5 when the new potato season arrived... then the sacks went up to £12 a sack when there were shortages... The days I spent after school peeling them..

They are 33p a kg or 15p a lb, so about the same price as Netto.
