If they can give away a sandwich and crisps (maybe 80 of the 99p this costs), then it makes you realise just what mugs people are spending £1 on a bottle of water....

And the fact that these offers never include a soft drink instead says to me that the profit margin on the water is massively higher than the stuff with flavour.

No offence mate, but has that just dawned on you? Have you ever seen how much those bottles of clear liquid that flows cleanly & freely from almost any tap you see cost!? The only reason I'd ever spend money on water is because I wanted to use the bottle afterwards.

Never ate any of these sandwiches (don't like the varieties and there's not one near my work) but 99p is a bloody good deal. The only shop near my work is Waitrose, and you can't get even the most basic sandwich for much under £2.30 on it's own..

the crisps are really nice! especially the prawn cocktail! also the sandwiches are nice as well, i always go for the chicken and stuffing(stuffing is really tasty) also the tuna and sweetcorn is not half bad as well! bottled water is bottled water in my eyes... plus the bottled water is exactly the same shape and design of bottle that you morrisons sell(same supplier but different label) so for 99 P you cant go wrong really!
#21
wasn't in my lidl, they had it all just not on any deal

They normally charge 19p (it used to be 29p) for the water on its own, which is quite cheap for a bottle of water compared to most places I have shopped. The sandwiches are not that bad, but must admit I have only ever tried the Cheese one in the Deal, but also tried a few of the others that are not in the deal all are just like pre-packed sandwiches available from most places. There are better places to buy sandwiches, but they cost a lot more money.

Hot!

extremely hot

the sandwiches are actually quite good and fresh - not much variety though
#24
Its been this price in my local lidl for 18 months
#25
Sounds like a feast!

Of course not, but deals like this hammer the point home in a way even a bottled-water buyer would understand. It was that blatency that surprised me.

:)........
#28
long term ofer for some stores
non existent in others

cant be anything but hot though (get another flavour of crisps than salt+vinegar though they are weak:) )
#29
do the sandwiches have butter on? If no- scorching, if yes, freezing. Answer carefully.

Sandwiches are pretty ok
#31
:P nice
#32
Didn't have it in the Lidl I was at in Bedford, I asked an employee and they said the offer was only on around London???

Shame as the sandwiches looked alright.
#33
I go to both Bedford stores and have never seen this offer - have never seen single packet of crisps in their either. Lidl is enroute to work and the sandwiches are similar to the ones that you can buy at my works canteen for anything up to £3!

I disagree. Prefer butter.
