No bike detectors either for inattentive drivers.

There are at least as many bad drivers as bad cyclists, not to mention irresponsible pedestrians. Don't be tarring us all with the same brush. I'm a responsible cyclist, driver and walker.

For instance lots of drivers seem unable to detect large images of bikes. Probably why they run so many of em over.

Ones that run on unleaded I assume.

You could try one of those waterproof smartphone cases on a "big bike" certainly a lot cheaper than I have seen elsewhere.

The rucksack looks good.
#14
Same as aldi had? Picked up a few good bits n bobs this week from there, although like the sound of the phone holder.
#15
I just picked up some gloves, shorts, jersey and pump. The whole lot cost less than a jersey from just about anywhere else.

How tight fitting are the jerseys?

Not overly-racey, but snug.

I bought a large today and it's very tight. If my arms and chest grow anymore then I won't be able to get it on :(

I've not tried these but I've always found their sizing to be very generous in the past I'm 6 foot 2 and Wear small in most of their things

Before i decide to vote cold, why is the link not working?
#22
Got the jersey, snug fit is all I say, but a great jersey nonetheless, especially for the price!
#23
Bought quite a bit of this a couple of days ago. The white and red jersey looks good but also has pockets round the back. Like Sirlukas said, it is definitely a tight fit. I bought a L and XL and I'm about a 38 inch waist & 5 foot 11 inches tall. The XL is a big snug but will give me the push to lose weight. Socks are really great for the money and so are the gloves. Biggest bargain is probably the rucksack, as its ideal size and quality material for under a tenner. Love the pads underneath that keep air circulating while riding. Where I was, the stuff was flying off the shelves. Not surprising at these prices.

not sure, i put the deal up a while ago spo maybe they changed the address as it is now a live deal not a future one? i'll try and amend it

it doesnt seem to be on their site anymore - definitely in store though

Six foot two and small?
What are you a giraffe?
#26
The socks are a bit too thick for my liking , appear very good quality though.
The jerseys are NOT elastic, just polyester ,no lycra/ spandex
The legwear seems really well made but IMO the padding is average only
The toolkit in saddlebag is ridiculously cheap but is of rubbish quality. Yet, the bag on its own and decent 2 tyre levers are worth £5 alone.
I don't think the mitts are any good, they cost 3.50 though :)

Good luck getting a decent size, was in my local on Monday evening and there was not much left then. Went back yesterday to swap a medium jersey for a large and I had to search around looking and luckily found the last large one left.

no (although i do realise you may not have been 100% serious with your question!), relatively well proportion, about 78kg, honestly i find the medium is too baggy, i do like a tight fit for cycling though, not a fan of having it flap about in the wind

We've just had a MASSIVE bike event in Yorkshire not a LIDL one!!

I picked up the bag for under the saddle, and a cycle computer. The saddle bag is awesome, and the toolset it comes with - seems to be - suprisingly good! It's not in any way light weight, but it's a comprehensive set that slides into two separate pieces for ease of use. For the money, it's an awesome bargain.

The cycle computer seemed good too, and has all the basic necessary features, along with a backlight. But mine has an issue, and seems to be reading really random numbers, and also sometimes seems to start displaying random readings when you have stopped. Anyone had one of these before? Did it work okay? I'm wondering if it's worth trying to take it back to LIDL for returns or refunds. I can't imagine that process will be a joy....

are you using the computer next to a flashing light? some lights can interfere with the wireless sensor. or failing that make sure you have the magnet and senor close enough to each other (without being so close they actually touch).

I got one for my dad and his works fine so if the above doesnt work maybe try taking it back to get another one.

Thanks! Very helpful. I've tried it in a few different light environments so don't think it's that, but will go and have another check. Either way, great to know the problem isn't endemic, so if nothing else works, will nip down to lidl and see if they'll do me a hassle free swap this eve!
