Lidl are having a big clearout at their Reading Basingstoke Road Branch. Outside beside the store they have several pallets of clearance stock which includes clothes, garden stuff, car stuff, household gadgets, clocks, electrical fittings (sockets, switches)

NOTE - it is CASH ONLY - and nothing is marked up (and what is isn't sold at that price), but there are some excellent bargains to be had, for example,

A Universal Battery Charger - £2 (I'm sure these were £15 at full price)
Automatic umbrellas - 50p

Today only.

I mentioned two above - there were lots and lots of things. It's a bit of a free-for-all, as things are all mixed up in the pallet boxes, but if you wanted to replace all your light switches with swanky looking aluminium ones, it would probably cost you very little. It's odd as nothing is priced up. You pick what you want, then take it to a guy by the caged off area and he suggests a reasonable price. We picked up two umbrellas (marked down to £1.99 each) and they cost 50p each. I expected the charger to be around £5, it was £2.
Ah the good old Lidl car park sale, fill your trolley and haggle a price :)
Doesn't it sound a bit like..... a disgruntled employee taking revenge on his last day? A nice cash bonus while the boss is away, lmao!
Lidl clearout before the exchange rate sparked price increase kicks in, lol. Everything in Lidl is now around 50% up! (€1 = £1)

PS. same at Aldi.

THANKS GORDON BROWN for not joining the Euro in time, and thanks to all the other nerds who supported him when he was Chancellor.
same happening at the hanwell branch on thursday from 9am
