Latest Government advice is, I belive, NOT to use a damp tea towel. Too many people were using over-wet tea towels and causing the chip pan to explode in a fireball!

Get out and call 999!

He's doing it all wrong anyway.

You should stay as low as possible and then lift the towel over as you rise up to protect yourself at all times :)

I saw fire blankets in a clearance bin at my local Tesco priced at £4.99 (down from £20). Nothing wrong with them, just discontinued I think. Obviously depends on the store, but might be worth a look if you're thinking of getting one or don't have a Lidl nearby.
