I dont think many of us will be sad to read the news that Tesco have had a 11% fall in profits and stores like Lidl continue to experience incredible growth, and here are the weekend deals.

8 Pork Sausages 49p
Cherry Plum Tomatoes 50p (250g)
Utterly Butterly 90p (500g)
Mini Chedders 12 pack £1.49

Troll, or, simply not that bright. I am unable to decide.

Anyways, for Msr. Watkins reference:

Don't buy bananas like these:
http://www.staddonfamily.com/files/photos/Black_Bananas.JPG

Granted, it is an easy mistake to make. However, I believe (correct me if I am wrong), you are not obligated to purchase an item if you do not think it is at it's best. Same goes for strawberries and grapes.

I hope this helps.

look, im not sayin u cant shop in lidls
and its not my fault if u brought bad bananas their, i brought some bad ones their to, and other bad veg and stuff
just because were in a resession dont mean u HAVE too buy gone off food from lidls!

This nigelwatkins guy is hilarious!

Oh, and he's edited his last post to correct some 'spellin mistakes'. That's brilliant.

It's impressive that he is able to work a computer, I think maybe his parents should be supervising him though.

Shame he didn't see fit to correct his grammar too.

Just for interest Waitrose essential British pork sausages £1.15 per 454g contain 55% pork, whilst Richmond Thick Pork Sausages 454g (£2.09 in Sainsburys) contain a massive 42% pork!

You have more significant problems that your choice of grocer - foremost amongst them the fact that your mother seems to have drunk, smoked, and belly-flopped her way through pregnancy. If you want to spend your benefit money in Waitrose, so be it - but for all that is holy, please stop mashing away at the keyboard. Your witless, nonsensical, bleating inanity offends my eyes.

Hey don't get me wrong, I shop at Lidl too. Although it's not the only place I shop at, I never shop at Waitrose & I question why a Waitrose shopper would be active on this site to be honest.

Just to put it out there though, I think even Sainsbury's basic pork sausages have more than 56% pork.

FWIW, these sausages used to contain slightly more meat and have received surprisingly good ratings:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1059999/Is-cheap-food-bad-health.html

Glenview Farm, Eight Thick Pork Sausages, 99p.
Per 100g: 228 cals, 14.1g fat, 1.1g salt Contains 58 per cent pork, not bad for the price; low-ish in salt and lowest additives.
Taste: surprisingly salty.

Health rating: 7/10

As stated previously, these are not to my liking, I literally gagged when I tried them. But each to their own. The mid range ones that lidl do are very nice though.
