Sometimes the meat is swapped, but in the vast majority of stores yes. Check on the Lidl website to see what is in your store.

Good luck in getting any.
You have to be there as soon as they open to get anything in the offer.

Not necessarily.
I went up once at 8:15am to get some cheap chicken legs. There was a big space where they should have been.Found out they hadn't sold out, they just hadn't been put out yet!

I bought a fresh chicken from Lidls a couple of weeks ago (the first time ever). However, the day we were going to have it roasted (last use by date), when I took off the cellophane wrapper it really smelled bad and I ended up binning it. Has anybody experienced this with their chickens? Only asking as I don't know whether to chance getting another one. I've tried their bacon and frozen produce which seems fine, just not too sure now about any of their other fresh meat/poultry.

We love Lidl, get most things there and have had no issue with any of the other meat - the lean beef mince is great, we love the pork chops etc but we won't but any of the fresh chicken after a similar experience - my OH is a chef so if he opens a packet of chicken and goes 'Ewww that does not smell right' then it's definitely not right!

My local lidl sells out in minutes of meat on weekend offer especially chicken many local fast food owners come down and purchase ENTIRE freezer full, you have no chance!

Got 20 packs of chicken last time this was on, froze them all but they all smelled of rotten eggs when opened - I still ate them though and I am not dead.

I've had this with chicken from Sainsburys even 3 or 4 days before the use by date, I take it back, have a pop and get my money back though.
