Tried a Karbackie larger from lidl last night. Wasn't expecting much but must say it was one of the best largers I've had recently. Liked the sourish taste and light carbonation!

I wish all lager was larger.

probably pretty similar to these ASDA £2.80 I am guessing, for those who dont have a Lidl near em...

Voted cold as, although this lager is good and very acceptable for the price, this post seems like marketing spam. This is the usual price and the OP's posts are mostly for Lidl products. Quoting Lidl's own marketing blurb how this is preferred to Stella seems a bit suspect? I may be wrong!

Correction...... ok, 29% off......but the rest stands. ;-)

Lol - I've got no connection with Lidl - apart from the fact that I only have a Lidl, Morrisons and Sainsbury's store within shopping distance - so like many other HUKD members - I tend to post deals that I am aware of - and not just copying from the National newspapers

When shopping in LIDL today (with my £5 off £40 spend voucher- another potential HUKD Lidl spam deal post from another member) I noticed that this lager (which I have tried and do recommend) is on special offer at the moment, which is why I posted the deal and WHAT HUKD IS ALL ABOUT!

No problem - have a couple of beers and relax! ;)

Interesting facts, but what % wore a wife beater while drinking?

Good to see ccw71 and jimmybo exchanging friendly banter - I have only tried one of these cans so far and found it better than OK for the price, I would welcome others comments on it though.

Grabbed one today too as there were only a few left. They're on special though so when they're gone, that's it. Unless you have a local polish shop that might stock it. My Nisa has a large variety of unpronouncable beers that I'm aiming to get through. :p

This is much more expensive per can than the deal I posted so cold for me. And the deal I posted was for a known brand.

That doesn't add up. I work it out at just under 11% off.

Most people aren't achoholics though so don't want 90 cans.

Haven't tried the LIDL one but Aldi's St Etienne is very good....
#26
Also Aldi are selling St Etienne for £2.49 even though it stated £2.79.Brewed in France not like Stella brewed under license in this country.
#27
This explains why I saw an estate car with its boot packed with cans at 8.45 this morning. I'm guessing if it's limited stock and you want any near Leeds, you might be out of luck!

I there are a few Polish shops round my way. May need to pop in to a few to see what is on offer. The Polish are blessed with great lagers like the Belgians are blessed with great wheat beers! Okocim, Karbackie, Lech, Tyskie and Zwyiec great lagers! Don't buy the Argus lager they have in Lidl its not great!

Stella is £3.54 vs £2.49 for Galereux. 3.54 - 2.49 = 1.05 which is 29% of the price of Stella. Oh yeah I can do maths!

It's now down to £2.19 for 4, just bought some. Rapidly becoming lager of choice at this price.
