Lidl is not like a British company who will use any excuse to put up prices.

I do love a German company showing the big 4 how to entice customers instead of bleeding them dry like Tescos did in the past.

Also if the oranges aren't too small on the weekly offer, they are usually quite good.

That ACE 2l Vitamin Drink was already 99p, why is it in the offer bit?

I feel like they are gunna start bumping up theyre prices, abnd then using this 'offer' to make it seem cheaper.

Are you sure it was the 2Ltr size? These are usually larger sizes for same price as normal sizes e.g. Almond ice cream sticks magnum equivalent are usually 6 to a pack but on this offer XXL are 8 to a pack.

Your right it is 99p for smaller Ace Vitamin Drink 1.5L size, XXL packs limited offer larger packs
XXL Ace Vitamin Drink 2L 99p (1.5L + 0.5L)

For that price, I wonder how 'extra virgin' the olive oil is. I'm guessing they've cleaned up their act since November 2015 then?

Italian olive oil scandal: seven top brands 'sold fake extra-virgin'

The producers caught up in the investigation include big names such as Bertolli, Santa Sabina, Primadonna, which is sold through the discount supermarket chain Lidl, and Antica Badia, which is sold through another cheap supermarket chain, Eurospin. The others are Carapelli, Coricelli and Sasso.
Bertolli
They are accused of passing off the slightly lower quality virgin olive oil as extra-virgin – the highest quality and the most expensive.
Extra-virgin oil is made by crushing the olives soon after they are picked in a process that involves no chemicals, heat or industrial refining.
Virgin olive oil is cheaper and generally more acidic.
The alleged fraud is now being investigated by prosecutors based in Turin."

Bloody typical, they never have frozen strawberries in stock for past few weeks so ended up getting a massive more expensive bag at Costco.

False economy. Buy fruit&veg 20% cheaper in Lidl, throw 50% of them in the bin because they start to rot in a day.

You could buy the cheap fruit and veg. Freeze the fruit and use it for smoothies. Freeze the veg and use it for soup. Or use the veg for soup and freeze the soup in batches. There you go. No wastage. :D

Nope you bought the normal size product which is the wrong product, Look for XXL branded bottles which are 1L
Obviously LIDL are still selling the the normal smaller size products together with larger size XXL products.

Voted hot, but seems that LIDL started playing big supermarkets' game: I only checked for the ice cream and it works out cheaper if you buy regular package.

So how do you work out that getting 6 Ice sticks ( Mangnum equivalent ) is cheaper than 8 ice sticks, when the price for both is £2.09.?
Or did you just post on here to make yourself look silly?

In my local shop they were not at the same price and as per price tag, 6 packs were cheaper per 100 g.

It's funny how on this site that somebody always gets a deal that is incompatible with the truth. I buy these imitation Magnums all summer long and find that you get 2 extra for free on the XXL deal and the weight of each stick is still the same as each stick in a 6 pack, and the price for 8 sticks is the same as for 6 sticks. I've never known Lidl to reduce the size of individual items in a multi buy pack when on offer.
P.S. I am a weekly shopper at Lidl not a casual.

Not that I was too bothered but I found my receipt and I was charged £1.79 per 6 pack. Normally I wouldn't recalculate the price per 100 grams, as I would believe the price tag was correct. But in this case I admit that 8 pack comes cheaper with 3.7p per lolly, thanks for the correction.
