Lie Detector - now £14.99 @ Argos !! (was £24.99)

Reserve online and collect in your local store.

The best truth detector of the century. If you lie you are in for a shock - literally - strap your victim in and follow the set up procedure. Question your victim to your hearts desire. If they tell a whopping lie the machine will know and zap them with a well deserved shock. Batteries included.

WARNING: Not for sale to children. This is not a toy. Not for the faint hearted. This product emits an electrical shock and may interfere with electrical devices such as pacemakers etc. Do not use this if you suffer from epilepsy or other similar medical conditions.

It's kind of worrying but these 'shock' products are very popular at meal and nights out - people just seem to keep coming back for punishment!

One of my favourites in the range is the pair of electric tanks:

http://www.gadgetpages.com/product.php?xProd=27&xSec=11&jssCart=06f7be947006a3c9dfda2d30801eead2

Somewhere else is probably cheaper, just posting these as an example. As you'd expect, you have full control of each tank with a fire button, each tank has six lives which light up along the top of the tank. You have the choice of high or low on the controller - if you choose high then your tank will knock two lives off your opponent on each hit *but* you will take a bigger shock when you take a hit. Switch down to low and you only knock one life off your opponent but less of a risk when you take a shock yourself.

Although the description sounds scary, the shock mentioned here is a little more than a feeling, I was told.

It depends massively on the person - some people can take the shock on high without even flinching whereas others react very strongly and end up chucking the controller across the room. I'm quite sensitive to it, I get quite a strong tingling sensation immediately after which stays for a moment after.

Well, don't lie then.

I was referring to the tanks rather than the lie detector...the tanks aren't very fast in maneuvering so you're bound to take a shock no matter how well you're doing!
