I would recommend rather buy something like either one of these 2
1. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Foldable-Photography-Portable-22-6cmx23x24cm-Blackgrounds/dp/B01JM68TFA
2. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01BSG3OWK?psc=1
On ebay you can find them cheaper i have option 2 and i get amazing photos and if you know a bit of adobe camera raw than its a winner .
example. https://jf1fqw-ch3301.files.1drv.com/y3pBDIGFzDcJ4AsxwBs6OsJ467In7CSRHSB1wWIJMKhjuJBL_3dS8k03sMkYaP3QTSDkJh3irLA4yyaNMd3vIoQA1uZqtqJfTXYSl2imna11blwDf5tw70Fb_N8Nu6gLdlF2UT_uklE-2_HpIlPUBQeguuUoLeT6PtD2kUhppJL400/Penguins%201.jpg?psid=1
I can`t see the point of this kit.
The first item is a small soft box, similar to the one posted here, but not so versatile and used with an internal LED light. So why is it tranlucent? External light will enter through the sides, top etc and at the best upset the colour balance.
The point about the one posted here is external light filters through the sides and top giving a soft shadowless image. And it pops up to use like a pop-up tent
The external lit softboxes mounted on stands are unsuitable. They are enormous and totally unsuitable for photographing small objects and you will also need to mount a backdrop somewhere.
Get one of these similar design, collapsible/pop up laundry baskets from ebay or in your local poundshop ....first one came across £3.28

Why couldn't they have put a 6000mah battery in this, or the u20?

Have they got any plans to release a "monster battery" phone with top specs? I was quite tempted by the 10000mah one but figured eventually they'd release a better specced one
I think price has gone up now

This phone is the Chinese model not the global model. I like the global model with all UK bands and capable of Lte 12 speeds due to carrier aggregation.
Agreed it depends on your carrier, same as the Chinese Xiaomi phones though it should be fine on EE and Three.
But if you list the global or European model, it will be much better. It is £155.78 down the drain as this phone has missing UK bands. If for £20 more, I could get the UK model, I will get that instead of this phone with Chinese Tde Lte which works in China India only.
I don't get your thought process, the extra £20 is down the drain if you don't need the extra bands. I am on Three and I would get 100% full 4G service with this phone.
Three say they use LTE 800MHz & 1800MHz this phone doesn't support LTE 800Mhz. Also the 800 Mhz seems more important because of better reception in buildings they are calling it 4G super voice.
Sorry, but you don't know what you are talking about.

Can you explain because it didn't look like it has LTE 800 Mhz looking at the specs in the link. So what am I missing?

Are you saying it does have LTE 800 or that it doesn't need it for three or other networks?

This phone is superb for me on the Three network, 4G speed no problem. However I had flashed the official Indian firmware on it on day 1. I got it for £180. At this £156, it's a bargain.

I'll stay away from LightInTheBox. They sell cheap Chinese items with most of them faulty.
I fell for them by looking at all great reviews. Guess what, they don't post bad reviews. I found out only when I tried to give them a bad review after receiving a pathetic ceiling lamp that was all peeling chrome coat. They just take it off and no explanation or whatsoever.
They don't understand English.
They ship from HongKong or some eastern asian country.
They'll add an estimated Duty to your bill and just prior to delivery courier (UPS in my case) will demand several times more for Duty. I took Duty Shipping insurance, so escaped excess duty.
Stay clear from this site. I'd rather buy slightly expensive item from Amazon (even eBay is bad).

Very disappointed I didn't see this before purchase. My order hasn't even been shipped a week and a half on

Starting to wonder now...
I've just had seven identical 'Your 1st Email From LightInTheBox.com' emails from them. Spread over an hour and a half.

Likewise, getting inundated with emails and can't stop them... Not a great sign, sorry I purchased these now!
I'm not sure who would enjoy this more, the crazy dog who will think the fluff monster needs to die or the cat who wants to torture it?!

I've got enough cat clutter already but if it gets below a fiver I would be temped.

Wasn't topcashback 13.5% here?
Also do promo codes work with this?

Both TopCashBack and Quidco are applicable here (no idea of their current going rate's though?).

And yes, Promo Codes do work!, I tried it myself some days back (and finally got to see the above 'Discount' as quoted in my Description, etc?).

Though I've since forgotten how/where i did it?, hehehe, as I never Ordered at the time ...

Though saying that though, during the body of some of the comments, you'll find Insideman taking their time out to run me through the whole process same way? (so you're NOT left to your lone some, as it were ..... ) :-)

I would go for the Chuwi Hi10 Plus which was on here a few days ago.....https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/CHUWI-10-8-inch-Hi10-Plus-tablet-PC-Windows10-Redstone-Android-5-1-Dual-OS-Intel/2179113_32763486084.html
Bigger screen same as in Surface 3
Your link is not active, and when I cut & paste it it goes to a dead AliExpress link.
I think what your referring to is something similar to what I Posted on here a few days back via GearBest instead, etc?, which WAS £120.25 via Code, but not again anymore ...
Posted here:
CHUWI Hi10 Pro 2 in 1 Ultrabook Tablet PC - (Windows 10 + Remix OS 2.0 10.8 inch Intel Atom X5 Z8350 64bit Quad Core 1.44GHz 4GB RAM 64GB ROM IPS Screen Bluetooth Cameras) £120.25 Delivered with code intel46 at Gearbesthttp://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/chuwi-hi10-pro-2-1-ultrabook-tablet-pc-windows-10-remix-os-2-0-10-8-inch-intel-atom-2559975
Nothing wrong with my link!!! I have tested it in Firefox,Chrome and Edge....try again ;0)
This is the official Chuwi Store on Aliexpress and the price is currently £121.84 so just a bit more than your original deal
?
So why isn't your link 'clickable' then? (like mine?), without having to first cut & paste it then? (unlike mine?).
Then when it is cut & pasted, it goes to a nowhere page on AliExpress, etc? (as I've already stated before ... )
Re-visit your link again please?. :-)

Expired. Shame I was about to buy it :(
You absolutely would not want your 12 year old son playing with a 1W laser, (comes in with his friend whilst you are elsewhere, "hey here's a cool toy, lets engrave this lego minifigure..." I wouldnt let mine near it. An accidental reflection from whatever is being cut would cause permanent retinal scarring if it got into an eye. I doubt if your personal insurance would cover permanent loss of sight in an eye if it occurred due to messing with a cheap laser engraver. If it can engrave plastic it can burn up your retina. 1mW is equivalent to looking at the sun, OK if you glance at it - but not if you stare. 1W?

Just to note your home insurance might be void with this item in your home. I run a laser cutting business and know of the horror stories of cheap lasers catching fire and such.

Any references? or just scary anecdotes, like how many spiders you eat in your sleep?

I bought this exact item, queried it after not receiving over a month later and they were adamant it had been delivered (still showed the pic of an aeroplane in tracking, tracking number for RM was invalid). Had to go through Paypal in the end to get refund, would avoid to be honest. Loads of other reputable companies to use

yes from lightinthebox, i didn't see another option for different postage , there customer service is shocking , even though they have acknowledged I refused delivery, and they have confirmed with UPS they don't want the item back they still have not refunded me 3 weeks later .
Great price if you don't get over charged. I ordered a couple from Gearbest, came through within 2 weeks, but no charges.

You're seriously like a broken record who repeats the same old bias views every thread. Mind disputing the points made in this comment? Or will you just continue to ignore all points anyone makes against your 'opinions' and continue to whine about the same old stuff whilst being blind to the fact people in UK use mobiles with lack of B20 perfectly fine as fully functioning phones?

Again without UK bands. Have people gone mad? Better phones than this, cheaper and all UK bands
Sam I love waiting for your comments. Despite wind, rain and snow your constructive and forthright opinions are much more reliable than public transport.
I'm on Vodafone, which does use B20/800 mHz as part of their 4G offering, and I never have any problems with my Redmi 3S which is lacking these bands. In daily use I wouldn't even notice that B20 was not supported.
Please feel free to share any deals to Snapdragon 820 series phones for less than £200 as I'm sure they will catch fire :{
You won't even know the difference. The best part of snapdragon 820 is cat 12 X12 modem with carrier aggregation . If you want to live with 3g data speeds from 5 years ago, no one can help you.
Not everyone is, or has the pointless needs of a 12 year old and needs to have 4g to play some mindless game. Some of us, maybe most us, are adults and just need a phone to be a phone with occasional access to websites and email.
If you mean you don't like the spec of a phone, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Just don't try to force that view on other people. . .
Why don't you sell this Chinese rubbish from a Chinese seller made only to work in China, in China and not here.

Me? I don't sell anything, just give advice.

You have so much anger, you should go and see someone, it's not doing you any good. There are lists of good councilors online.

Yes I am angry as I got duped here by buying a Chinese phone highly recommended here, came with viruses. It was a nightmare to return it. I just feel sorry for people buying Chinese phones not compatible with UK networks as recommended here or having viruses and root kits in firmware which cannot be easily detected or removed . There are much better choices at this price with all UK bands from EU sellers.

Just because a box may have more RAM doesn't necessarily mean a faster box. They already have the S912 Octa-core boxes, which would be your best bet.

Even then, there only seems to be a slight increase in performance from say the S905 to the S912.

I would avoid Oukitel, I just bought a K6000 Pro which will not charge properly.

Stupid question but did you try other chargers? Reason I ask, I got a Chinese phone recently that came with a European adapter. So I tried using the charger that came with my Honor 7 and it wouldn't charge at all. So I tried an old Blackberry charger of all things and it worked fine.

I know this is an old thread and all, but I just got mine today. I didn't go for the DHL delivery as Gearbest contacted me saying that customs would have taxed this almost certainly so I went for the slower 7-10 days delivery.

As mentioned I received it today and didn't have to pay customs. The box came already opened, probably they wanted to change language or upgrade the OS, and it had a screen protector very nicely fitted.

Will have more of a play around tonight.
Does anyone know if this has Wifi Direct?

"The Z2 is not operated via the commonly used Android onscreen buttons for "Back", "Multitasking", and "Home" or their capacitive counterpart below the screen. ZUK's smartphone can only be controlled via the physical-capacitive home button. In addition to fingerprints for unlocking the handset, the main control detects predefined gestures. For example, the home button is only tapped for a fraction of a second for "Back" and somewhat longer for "Multitasking".

That's pretty odd...

There is a 2nd hand one on EBAY HERE make him an offer, it is in the UK

Thanks, i did see this one a while back but it wouldn't make much sense to buy one used when the new ones are available for £185. I appreciate the thought though!

I bought from a seller called ltegrow, it arrived well within a week of purchasing it and no customs to pay as it wasn't coming from China!

Just curious, was your device a Lenovo or ZTE branded one?

UK bands missing. Are you buying this phone to use in China and India?
Don't use a crappy network and you will be fine. <1ghz frequencies shouldn't be used for LTE, its just that some networks here are too backward to upgrade.
You must be technically illiterate. Tde Lte is not used outside China and India which this phone supports. Missing UK bands means band combining or Lte advanced will not work on this phone even if it works on some networks so slow data speeds
I assure you I'm quite the opposite. The phone I'm using to write this doesn't support Band 20 4G and I have no issues with 4G on it.
Just use a decent network and avoid living in the **** end of nowhere and you'll have no problem.
All phones can work as tablets. The difference is clear in crowded places or places with low signal like inside a train etc. Many of the Chinese phones also come with viruses baked inside the firmware.

The signal is clearer on my Chinese imported phone than it was on the UK market one that I had previously and as long as you avoid the cheapest models, you will not have any issues with viruses. The likes of Samsung and Sony are notorious for filling their phones with bloatware anyway and so are the UK networks.

Sony, Apple, HTC, Samsung and other suppliers phones come with UK warranty and cover all UK bands if bought in the UK. I have nothing against Chinese phones like oneplus but think for little more I can get phone with UK bands and peace of mind. Buying something which may not work or a gamble is a waste of money and time.

The phone was brand new, no problems at all apart from what everyone else who bought the device globally had I.e. Play store needing to have updates uninstalled and rebooting to get the apps on your phone.
I bought the phone and then added 3 HDMI leads to activate 10% off.
They only have white left at £204.99 ATM so adding a 99p item would make your purchase price £184.59.
It's £14 more than what I paid but still not a bad price. If you have nectar vouchers from the 'get half your points back' deal, or a personal discount code that works on this then it could be an even better deal.
Here's the link anyway

Thanks for the response to my questions on the previous page, i found it to be very informative and helpful with making my decision. I would much rather buy from a seller who ships from this country like the one you provided the link for, but looking at the listing it seems the seller is still based in China. Maybe a silly question but did it say where the package was shipped from on the label? The listing says 'Item location: Southall, United Kingdom' but when you read about the seller details it shows them as being based in Shenzhen, China which worries me a little. Just wanted to make sure.
It is hard for me to decide, i am one of these people who can never make up thier minds about anything. Like i said before, i have a choice between this and the OnePlus 3. The Z2 is £185 and OP3 costs £145 more at £330. I think it is a typical case of you get what you pay for between these phones; the Z2 is like the bare essentials with an monsterous SD820 whereas the OP3 has the added luxuries with an additional 2GB of RAM, 5.5" AMOLED screen, UFS 2.0, Dash Charge, 16MP camera and of course, MUCH better developmental support.
I know the OP3 would be the best choice for me, it is almost the perfect phone, and being a former OnePlus One owner i know what they've been like in the past. But what puts me off this phone is the price which is beyond my budget of £300, and the Soft Gold variant has been out of stock since the 16th with no sign of it coming back anytime soon. I would hate to have the black one because all my phones in the past have been the same colour, and i find it to be dull and unattractive. Also, there is a rumoured OnePlus 3T at around £400 which is set to outdate it in either November or December. So for these reasons it has become a much more difficult decision than i would like between these two devices!

Just ordered this as I have been wanting something similar for ages, but it doesn't seem to have GPS. I take this means that if I went for a run with it on, I couldn't then sync the details with my phone to show where I had been?

I used to take my phone and use Runtastic, but the phone is too cumbersome to jog about with.
A friend has the more basic version of this and it is excellent, tbh I think better than my fitbit!

A question for people who have one: does it monitor your heart rate 24/7 or is it just when it thinks you're exercising?

When you tell it to.
Cheers op. Just ordered for £20.49 using your code, so splashed out on the 40p shipping insurance. As mentioned above, I had to untick insurance/customs initially to get the code accepted (thanks xena_wales), but could then re-tick them

that is an exact carbon copy of what happened with me. I really wanted this band though.

I thought the days of dodgy websites being listed on hold where over!

did anyone actually receive this item at this price?
Amin
i ordered this but basically it is still not delivered after over a month. this is the only chinease website i have used that has so obviously let me down.
I am voting that lightinthebox is removed from hukd. it is not a trustable source.
googling lightinthebox scam shows plenty of people feel the same.

Mine also didnt arrive after 4 weeks. Emailed them and they said:

"It shows as received to the UK"

I checked with RM/ParcelForce Worldwide with the tracking and it never got here.

Told them again and they instantly offered me my money back and said the system now says its "Lost in transit".

Lots of similar complaints online

Not sure this should be expired. I bought for $26.49 ($31.49 - $5.00 for voucher code). That's £21.30 on my Halifax Clarity card (Lightinthebox's sterling conversion is effectively at $1.2196 and we're not there...yet). TCB says cashback is £2.65 (looks like they ignored coupon value), so my net position is £18.65.
it stays at 18.54 if you pay by debit/credit card but goes up in price if using paypal

I was very tempted but looking at the measurements they are only half the size of what I expected. 9.5cm wide, in old money less than 4 inches. And just 11.5 cm long, about 4 1/2. A very small box.
We've bought our 3yr old daughter the Panda one and for a child I'd say its about the right size as a toy moneybox.
