I cant get my head round these, surely some of yr laundry will end up brushing against the wall, getting dirty and there's a possibility of snagging.

Are these good for freeview?

I've got a brabantia one which is very well made. The design is better then this one I think but I do tend to stick socks at the very end just encase it does blow around. The brabantia one has 4 sides so only the bottom end of 2 of those are near any wall.

We've got a Brabantia one as well which is superb, twice the price of this but with a 5 year warranty. Once you've used one you won't go back to that rotary eyesore in the garden.

Would be good for my balcony

it's inside/outside, if you're worried about clothes brushing against exterior walls... mount it in your living room.

Where as this is an attractive addition to the side of your house?

Back of the house actually and a neat push pull system to lock in place or collapse it to the wall. You also get a cover that clips over the front when not in use.

Looks very neat when folded to the wall.

Thanks OP. Reserved at my local Argos and picked it up. I think I'll fit it later and take my whirlygig back to Focus. I don't think I'll mount it near the roof though!;-)
