(game only) now selling for £14.00 odd pence on various sites, such as asda, tesco, currys, dixons, the hut, etc.
(cue pack with game) now 17.00 odd same stores.
some people have had trouble getting theres, so more stores= more chance at this price.
i promise you that i have had this game since november 08 release and although a little tricky at first, it is an incredible game. you just need to get the right power as you strike a shot with wii remote, just like hitting a real ball with a cue.
there's snooker, snooker plus, 8 and 9 ball pool, billiards, bar billiards, practice, trick shots, etc, to keep you entertained. no online, but real fun in 2 player with friend/family. loads of tournaments in one player career to win as you start at 52nd in the world, whilst trying to be number one.
you need time to practice, but when you start winning, you will be hooked. i picked it up quite quick but still needed to perfect some shots and have managed several final wins, two 141 breaks and 25 in the world. so if you think you can't beat it, just keep trying and you will succeed.
there are not many games that are worth upto £40 for and get left on the shelf. however, this has been my most played game over the past 3 months and through experience, i would easily have payed over £40 and not been dissapointed with the game and use it has had.
i have had a real pool table for over 4 years, but just don't have the room and had to keep moving stuff to play it and then put it away. this is a god send, as you just need a wii, wii remote and game, with no need to worry about space.
i find it better with the wii remote as you actually play as you would a real game. instead of adjusting your power with a controller and pressing a button, you actually determine the power by the power you push the shot, (hence as in real life).
even a child as young as 3 can play better than on a real table as there are even loads of help aids to suit different peoples styles. you just turn aim aid on or off and increase or decrease to help predict the correct power if having trouble.
this game gets 10/10 overal from myself, as i have had plenty of time to test it properly. as stated i would easily pay over £40 for this and at 14.00, it's a steal.
just a qiuck note to people, if you do get the cue version and have trouble, just play without cue, like i did. so if you want to save room and ain't bothered about cue, save yourself a few quid and get game on it's own. give it time and once you got the hang of it your be thanking me.
