Had one of these...its okay at best...there is better out there and i would pay a little more if i was get what you pay for. Ideal for sheds/garages/caravans ETC.
Dont buy this! I had one but it buzzed constantly even when switched off! (but still plugged in of course) spend a bit more and get a lot more

Yes, but was it a crystal-clear sound of buzzing ?
Yep, poor quality, buzzes all the time (whether on or off).
Best off paying slightly more for a better item.
I bought this...and there was a buzzing noise when the machine was first switched on in iPod mode - lasted about 3 seconds - and then it was fine. I really liked it for the price - I think it looks nice and sleek and it did what I wanted. But hubby didn't think much of the sound quality - but he notices things that I don't - and he wanted MW to listen to the footie (this only had FM). In the end he bought a much more expensive internet/wifi radio/dock which is much better. I think it is a case of you get what you pay for...and I still like this one for the money.
Bought one of these too wouldnt recommend it.
Way to bright even on lowest setting and buzzes depending on level of brightness.
To add to that ours refuses to change alarm settings.
All in all a useless bit of tat.
i have this
the display is too bright
the remote stopped working, though my little boy may have had a hand in this
i dont get buzzing though and all the functions still work
i only really use it for an alarm or music if im in the shower so sound quality is fine fro me
I've got one and its ok as cheap, semi-portable speakers/charger, but not great.

It works fine as a charger, but you get a message on iphones saying its not compatible (but it still charges fine)
Buzzing when the backlight is on (so I have it permanently off)
Sometimes the iphone will causes incredible loud buzzing/clicking - usually in the middle of the night, even when the music mode is turned off - i;ve never fiured out why.
Buttons are rubbish especially the snooze button (which double as backlight brightness button) which actually clicks down twice before it does anything (took a while to figure this out)
Sound quality is a but boxy, but will do for small rooms or by the bed at night.
I've never used the alarm clock function or the remote.

Over all? I'd say unless you are on the tightest of budgets (and if you have an ipod/iphone, you're probably not) then pick something else.
I bought a similar thing from PLAY a while back, in white.
Great alarm clock, and I leave the dimmer switched off.

Shoved a battery in it in case power outage.

Don't think the radio is any good though, silly little ariel.
surprised at the heat this is at considering the reviews...

I suppose it just goes to show that the majority don't bother to read the comments?
can anyone recommend one like this, but a good one?

need to get one for an xmas present

voted cold :(
alarm function didn't work with my 5g ipod.
good for the price for just speakers.
bought one of these in white, had it 6 weeks and the speakers blew, at low volume, then took 6 weeks to get my money back:w00t:

worked fine with my 5g plus 2 nanos
Checked Amazon for reviews prior to purchasing from on the 8th Dec, both 'OTTAVO' & 'Limit' branded items were in stock at considerably inflated price, both now showing currently unavailable.

Only two reviews are for 'OTTAVO' branded unit, but neither mentioned any of issues mentioned.

I purchased as present for ipod touch owner, although I've now tested item with my ipod nano 4g and it works good I'm concerned.
The three universal dock adapters that came with it (black) are marked:
These appear to be the closest to the official apple adapter (white) respectively:
ipod(video) 5g 60GB 80GB/ ipod classic 160GB(apple adapter number 10)
ipod(video) 5g 30GB/ ipod classic 80GB 120GB(apple adapter number 9)
The third I have nothing to compare it to sorry.

These comparisons were drawn by using official adapters only(that came included in my apple universal dock box).
The official adapters that come with your ipod device do fit this item, however they will probably be the wrong colour.
the radio feature is too poor to listen, does anyone know how to adjust it properly? Is the antenna just the black wire attached to tne back end of the unit? or is there any one particular antenna in the box? i couldn't find it....:whistling: could anyone help me on this? many thanks!
now £14.99, i brough 3 now amazing things for kitchen and also for wakeing up!
