Unfortunately, this just goes to show that Dr Dre (he's not a real doctor by the way), is quite happy to plaster his name on some over-priced headphone range and sign up 'of the moment' artists to rinse his fanbase of their hard earned cash. Perhaps, they deserve it - after all nowadays, they're mostly chavs or people with a complete lack of sense.

Has the phrase 'a fool and his money is soon parted' ever been some relevant?

For high-end headphones that are worth the price, check out Seinheisser's HD25II.

Actually... i have heard the 129.99 ones the normal dre ones... they sound better then any seinhesissers i have ever used, only ever heard a few pairs of headphones better.
Also think you should do your research, Dr Dre sent the design back 9 times before it was finalised... i wouldnt call that slapping my name on any old crap like most celebs... he actually wanted them to be good... okay they are a bit overpriced... but they are supposed to be designer.

So your saying the poor/stupid/chav deserve to be fleeced of their money. Interesting idea that one. Congratulations on your moral judgement. By all means wind people up for the ridiculous price they are willing to pay. But maybe you could try an educated response to assist us 'idiots'. I wont be buying but i will be offended by your comments so ill look for more reasonable people. Have great day.

Since you took great exception to my comment, I assume you're awaiting a response of which I will gladly dispense.

Indeed, there was no insulting of Master Bieber or his followers in my previous post - for this I apologise. Can you justify spending £150 on some Justin Bieber purple headphones? If you can - then I refer you to the section in my post 'complete lack of sense'.

Why are you using the word 'poor'? I don't believe I mentioned financial status in my post - do you assume chavs are poor? Isn't that stereotyping? Are you going to suggest they are all drug dealers and thieves so they can afford blacked out Astras and £150 Justin Bieber headphones?

I never used the word 'idiot' either - but seeing as you're filling in some gaps for me:
Plenty of 'poor/stupid/chav's do get rinsed on a weekly basis - it's called the X Factor phonelines.
And I'm afraid in my opinion they do deserve to be 'fleeced' for lining Simon Cowell's pockets with his money-making machine.

Er, back to the headphones - I am aware that Dre spent a lot of time perfecting the 'sound' on his range of headphones - perhaps I was rather flippant in suggesting he slapped his name on the product, as opposed to the artists who he uses to market them - Lady Gaga/Bieber et al.
But, in MY opinion, these are style over substance - with the emphasis on these being more a fashion accessory than a primarily functioning device.

'Have great day' to you all too!
