Oh. My. God.

Can't believe the prices these 6800 cards are dropping to. Seriously good card (I picked one up a few months ago) for £105. Bargain.

They both have their advantages over the other.

Performance wise the 6850 is overall slightly faster, but it can vary a lot depending on the game. Some games are waaay better optimsed for nVidia cards.

The AMD 6850 has better output options with eyefinity (a type of multi monitor setup) support, while the nVidia has PhysX support (supports advanced physics effects in a pretty small number of games). The 6850 uses less power, but nVidia 460 cards seem to have better cooling (often cooler and quieter) than those on most 6850 cards. If I was thinking of 3D gaming (I'm not!) I'd probably go with nVidia.

They're both great cards and the decision between them probably needs to be made on other features rather than one performance alone.

Anybody know how much noise these make?

Been looking for a new card for a while, and I may just have to get this one.. Excellent price. :) Anyone have any experience with Pixmania?

I bought this a few months back, its sapphire branded & comes retail but with no added extras. Delivery was quick and I'm overall pleased with the card (upgraded from an nvidia 8800GT)

I have this card ( different manufacturer) well 6850, i have it connected to three monitors and all games runs smoothly including need for speed shift 2, can and should overclock it if u buy it.

Wouldn't order from pixmania if it was half the price. They will most likely take you order claiming stock and eventually change it to on back order. Happened to me twice and getting refund is a PITA.

Ordered a few things from Pixmania over the years including a HD 5870 when they were expensive back in the day, personally never had any problems with Pixmania. Even let me return an item I didn't like for free no problems...

Also buy two of these for £198.40 delivered with this voucher code - PIXMAYUK5 -

Code works with anything over £190 so 2 x HD 6850's works out £198.40 with voucher inc delivery. Great Deal for crossfire HD 6850 imo..

HD 6850 Crossfire VS GTX 580 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/302?vs=305

HD 6850 Crossfire beats GTX 580 in a lot of tests! Great value at under £200
