Basically means prime top quality ingredients.. The term cut is now adopted and extends to include vegetarian foods for political correctness...

I'll get my coat..

You think this is expensive? Ok, so you may well get it for a quids at Sainsbury but that may be imported, it's hard to fully know.. I'd rather know the exact origins of my food..

Whoops, it is a bit of humour, £1.50 is reasonable. I might try this. But however, the cheaper pork sausages less than £1.50 to 1 lb in weight (454g) (though not veggie) is nearly all rusk and soya anyway?

Heat O.P.
But the ordinary 6 Vegetarian Sausage are £1.25 all the time in Iceland & Farmfoods (currently 3 for £3) and the 6 Sausage Rolls are cheaper in Farmfoods too.

However, will get some Red Onion & Rosemary - very nice.

"Nice alternative to meat, tastes like pork." - So That's what pork tastes like, I'd always wondered!

"Apparently Sainsubury did this for a quids, but not much is known about the deal and the origins." The £1 Sainsburys deal is still valid and is listed on mysupermarket.co.uk and on Sainsburys website. Other than those obscure web sites
which are never mentioned on this site, not much is known about the deal.

Tastes like pork!!!

A vegetarian wants a soya sausage to taste like pork - which means there's a deep craving for meat.

I'm not sure whether they actually want it to. Or whether it just tastes and looks like it.. But either way the vegetarians love the stuff..

They are just £1 at Sainsburys as I bought them for my veggie fiancée (who says they're lovely) yesterday.

Dear God written by a typical anti vegetarian numpty.

There's no craving for goodness sake it's just if you get a Sausage you expect it to taste like one.

Most vegetarians are so dye to an ethical choice it doesn't mean they don't want to eat meat they just don't want animals to suffer
