Just a note to those interested - we bought one like this last time but beware that the gate doesnt actually open, it acts more like a barrier. So if planning to put it where you have to go upstairs/downstairs often with baby in hand, then its best to buy a different one to this, though the carrying/folding option would not be available on others if I remember correctly.

Exactly - the purpose of this safety gate is that it can be moved around the house / taken on holiday etc. Static ones obviously can't be moved around the house / taken on holiday. We have two of these that we use and all you have to do is press a safety button to remove from the walls i.e you don't need to actually open it; it just comes away and when you want to put it back you merely, well, put it back

I got this when they were reduced to £7.50 at Asda. I actually put mine on the babes bedroom, and yes its a pain climbing over it on a night when shes in bed, but during the day i just take it off and its ever so simple to put straight back up.

That's ace but it is £24 at Asda. Which store cos if it's local to me I might go and pick up a job lot? But I think you might mean when they had them in some stores on the last day of the baby event at £7.50 about 8 months ago?

I wasn't being in the slightest bit sarcastic; I searched for "Lindam" at Asda and the only thing that came up was THIS posted about 8 months ago
