Good price, but I've been waiting about 2 weeks for an order to be delivered by Gondola and I've received no comms since the order confirmation so not the quickest of companies nor the best cs.

Thanks for stating the price. By the way if you use Quidco this works out as £2.85 per bottle (roughly).
#15
Great price. I have ordered. Many thanks :)

Excellent wine, the white and the red, red is one of the smoothest Australian Cabernets you can get, adding the Shiraz enhances the flavour even more in the southern climes., lies very well, and matures well, definately to three years, no idea after that, i can never wait, and space is always at a premium in this house:roll:.Think i will have to take a trip to the city to stock up, am down to the last few bottles of decent red.
#17
Don't count on getting the cashback from either Topcashback or Quidco. I bought wine back in March and they refused the cashback claimed through Topcashback. Other similar tales on the Topcashback website.
#18
Cant find the red on there website

Had both my Gondola Quidco payments from 2 March orders, although the amount was small, as the net order was only £1.97 (due to vouchers).

This time I mixed and matched the Lindemans and the Casillero del Diablo (which I like) and got 21 bottles for just over the necessary £100 (excl delivery) amount. (£66.98 net or £3.18 a bottle less 8% Quidco making roughly £2.93 each)

There's no point in ordering over the odds, as there will always be new vouchers coming online, although at less than £4.50 a bottle it's excellent value to begin with.

NB if it's your first order you tend to get a free gift bottle, mine was a good wine (can't remember which exactly) with 4x tealights in a gift box, would have made an excellent gift if I hadn't drunk it !

Very Hot:, ordered. thumbsup:

Also works on other items by the looks of things:

Casillero del Diablo Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon - £3.58 (per bottle when you buy 24)
Cono Sur Reserva Carmenere - £3.58 (per bottle when you buy 24)
Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne Magnum in branded gift box - £48 (per bottle when you buy 2)

Look pretty reasonable if you want to mix and match.

THE WEBSITE is confusing me.... in the list of cards accepted at the bottom is AMEX.. with the logo

However there is no option for AMEX under 'card type' on the payment section of the site....

I tried putting my AMEX card details under another card but I get the message:

" Please contact Customer Services on 0870 60 77 111 "

The most worrying part, when I call that number, I get "Thank you for calling the Vodafone online fullfilment team"

Very strange !!!!!

I took advantage of this when there was a Quidco 10% offer a couple of weeks ago and the £40/100+ code was shown as a compatible code.
The business is allegedly a late 2009 service/website from a Dragon's Den "entrepreneur" if you Google them.
Have to say their idea of e-commerce is about 5 years behind the times and a very poor advert for any Dragon's Den standards if true!.
The online ordering process is pretty poorly designed; the search gives different results/brands depending on how/where you search; and doesn't use the usual online credictcard confirmation to immediately validate card spending; and it never gives you a full summary of the order details although the confirmatory email is quite well presented/formatted.
Their delivery is "usually" 2-5 working days.
They do NOT send an email if/when it does get despatched.
However they do reply to emails eg when no sign/word after 5 working days - so my order arrived 8 working days later and was correctly made up and well boxed.

So a bargain if you're buying heavily discounted items and still have a valid code to use, but unlikely to become a regular shopping destination for this wine drinking household as others do it so much better with their site, their notifications and their promptness.

ordered, thank you very much. Great wine and it works out really cheap with the voucher code and quidco.

Agreed that people should be considering other wines. It's crazy that you're talking about the Lindemans when the Casillero del Diablo Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is a far better wine. Consistently voted the best value red in the world. RRP means nothing.

Quidco has tracked, so that's £2.85 a bottle delivered. It may not be the best wine out there but you won't get wine any cheaper than that in the UK, unless you buy some really nasty stuff for about £2.50 from your local wine shop.
#29
Just thought I'd throw in my tuppence worth.....

I recently ordered from these guys, using a £40 off £100 pound voucher through Quidco.
All tracked ok with Quidco, but wine didn't arrive in the stated time and no comms from Gondola.

However, I called them, within office hours, and explained the issue and the wine was delivered the next day! I think their back office processes are a bit dodgy, but if you're willing to pick up the phone and have a little moan you will get your wine

I ordered the Casillero - both red and white - both really nice.
#30
Absolutely scorching hot - ordered and happy, thanks Heat and rep added!
#31
Cheers Andy!! Ordered & lookin fwd to suppin some quality vino (as opposed to the plonk which is all I can usually afford!)
#32
Hot, I've paid a little bit more to get a mixed case of Lindemanns. Variety is the spice of life!
#33
Always remember you can check an alternative to 0870s 0845s etc. (if you don't get those free) at: http://www.saynoto0870.com

You can even find an alternate freephone if you are lucky with some companies.

'Gondola uses City Link exclusively. We feel they provide the best service possible to distribute fragile goods all over the UK. City Link mostly uses their own branded delivery vans to make deliveries, but occasionally they may deliver using ordinary non-branded vans. '

ordered 12 red and 12 white; thanks OP!
#38
Great deal! Well spotted, OP.

Not sure why this is hot again now...I bought this a couple of weeks back....still, it's a great deal. Did take a couple of weeks for the stuff to turn up, with no comms whatsoever, but it came, it's the right wine, well boxed and cheap as chips. Quidco's tracked no probs, too. As others have said, doubt I'll be rushing to use them again - but as a one-off, this is a bargain...

Last time I ordered from Gondola (£50 off £100 spend) topcashback tracked and was then resinded (sp). Just a word of warning. Still a good deal.
