Just been on GONDOLA website and ordered 24 bottles of Lindermans Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon. The normal price is £222 delivered..!!!!...however the wine is currently half price and if you use the voucher code WINESDIRECT30 it brings the price down to £83.75 delivered...Not good at maths but under £3.40 a bottle. This is a mega bargain for what is a cracking bottle of wine.Hope this helps a few of my fellow dealers. Dont forget your quidco which tracks at 8%

Normally exceptionally over-priced. Now half that ridiculous price with a discount code.

Lindemans' wines are always over-priced and then heavily discounted. It's a technique also used for years by Fosters (the UK reseller) to sell their **** poor lager. Their currently trying to ditch their wine division as it's losing money.

Cold from me.

The fact is, this isn't good quality wine...it's OK, but nothing to get excited about or start filling the cellar with.

It only looks a good deal because the listed "normal" price has been over-inflated...it's even a quid more than Ocado which takes some serious effort.

I've got a bottle of Robinson's Orange Squash on my desk, normally £50. I'll sell it you for £25 - bargain, yeah?

the 2008 vintage was excellent value and very nice so I just ordered a load more but 2009 has arrived. not tried it yet. fingers crossed its as good.

Topcashback also tracked at 9.33 this time for some reason. usually around a fiver.

needs the title amending if you can't order a single bottle at this price...

Hot. Went for the Merlot last time well pleased.

code can only be used on orders over £90

After getting Quid-Co on my order of 24 bottles of Southafrican Merlot 3 weeks ago it worked out at £2.85!!! a bottle delivered, this wine is not over priced IMO because I could not find it anywhere cheaper. My order was delivered within 3 days to the door, and my D.D card not charged for over a week.

I'm sure this is nice wine & good value but when you drink as much as I do, then cost is the only consideration! I sort of feel hard done by if I have to pay more than £2.50/bottle. I did have 150 bottles of cut price plonk sitting in the garage at one stage but this will need replenishing soon. Never know when the government is going to try and 'convert' us middle class alkies into 'sensible' people...

Sorry but if you think £3.40 for a bottle of good quality wine is cold then i am sure there must be some windows down your street you should be licking

Your missing the point...show me a link anywhere on the web where you can get "ok" or middle of the road wine delivered for under £3.40 a bottle...i double dare you

Tesco are currently selling a 3 litre (4 bottle) box of Ozzie Shiraz for £10.87 which works out at £2.72 a bottle. Buy six boxes (24 bottles) and get 5% off. This takes it down to £2.58 a bottle.

The normal price of the box is about £15 so about £3,75 a bottle which would mark this out as as an average quality plock. It's 13% alcohol so it's not cheap because it's watered down. Taste-wise, it is fine - certainly comparable to a lot of more expensive wines I've supped in my time.

No, that's fine, really no need. As long as we've established that this is ok/MOTR wine then my point is made.

....Also ocado showing £7.99 and this is £3.40 so by my thinking that makes it £4.49 a bottle cheaper...i am starting to think your a spangle with the mental capacity of a farleys rusk.. Again i set the challenge show us all a link where we can get any "ok" as you put it wine cheaper

Really no need to get personal if you can't read properly - read my point again. I stated that the listed normal price, on Gondola, is £8.99. Ocado is £7.99.

£8.99-£7.99=£1 cheaper on Ocado.

There is no way this wine was ever worth £8.99, not even Waitrose charge that much - I've never tasted a bottle of Lindeman's that was worth over a fiver. Claiming that this wine is "50% off" is a complete joke.

So for me, this deal isn't hot at all...you're simply getting what you pay for.

If you like Lindeman's, you should get down to Costco - they're usually chocca with the stuff...Bin 65 Chardonnay for under £3 if you buy just 6 etc.

Firstly there are no Costco in Northern Ireland and this comes delivered. Secondly i have checked the web for costco in Bushey,Watford and the cheapest is £4.75 for shiraz. Add to that my flight and transport cost and it works out at £123.50 per bottle...!!! Thanks for the tip..!!
